These days, with so much going on at

any given time, processing our thoughts is now a coveted art. Unfortunately, this is an art that when strategically employed is a guarantee for an excellent life. Excellence is born out of a robust thought process where choices are made and enabled by good understanding. Excellence does not come by happenstance, it takes deliberate decisions to do something in the best way possible. This can only be born from paying attention to details that cannot be copied and not a random putting together of ideas in a half-hazard manner. A robust thought process requires working through a lot of questions and answers. 

These days it is just amusing how much people are actually too mentally lazy to think about adding value to what they have around them. Becoming an active member of the value chain of life might not be as easy as I am making it seem, but it is definitely an unfortunate situation that needs to be understood and addressed. Even those who used to believe that they can make valuable contributions now have too many easy alternatives to bother with exploiting their own creativity. The pursuit of excellence has faded away and given way to a crop of copycats who only know how to work with what others have prepared for them. This is the painful story of Africa where the delicate craft and artisanship that reveal our history as a people is gradually dying before our very eyes.

 No community can be 100% authentic as it develops due to the intermingling with other communities and cultures, but no community should completely strip itself of its history and cultural identity. There is a reason why different environments have different stories. We respond to our environment in a way that is typical to the needs that exist there. When we stop thinking and begin to adopt without questions solutions that are foreign, the integrity of the environment begins to crumble. In such a case, there is not much left for that community except surrendering their sovereignty to some other people who have put their brains to work.

De nos jours, avec la multitude d'activités qui se déroulent simultanément, la capacité à structurer ses pensées est devenue un art précieux. Malheureusement, cet art, lorsqu'il est utilisé de manière stratégique, est la garantie d'une vie réussie. L'excellence naît d'une réflexion rigoureuse, où les choix sont guidés par une bonne compréhension. L'excellence ne résulte pas du hasard ; elle exige des décisions délibérées visant à faire les choses de la meilleure façon possible. Cela ne peut se faire qu'en portant une attention particulière aux détails, qui sont irremplaçables, et non en assemblant des idées au hasard. Une réflexion rigoureuse nécessite d'explorer de nombreuses questions et réponses.

De nos jours, il est assez amusant de constater à quel point les gens sont trop paresseux intellectuellement pour réfléchir à la manière d'apporter de la valeur ajoutée à leur environnement. Devenir un acteur de la chaîne de valeur de la vie n'est peut-être pas aussi simple que je le laisse entendre, mais c'est assurément une situation regrettable qu'il convient de comprendre et de corriger. Même ceux qui croyaient autrefois pouvoir apporter une contribution précieuse ont désormais trop d'alternatives faciles pour se soucier d'exploiter leur propre créativité. La quête de l'excellence s'est estompée, laissant place à une génération d'imitateurs qui ne savent que reproduire ce que d'autres ont préparé pour eux. C'est la douloureuse histoire de l'Afrique, où le savoir-faire et l'artisanat délicats qui révèlent notre histoire en tant que peuple disparaissent peu à peu sous nos yeux.

Aucune communauté ne peut être totalement authentique, car elle évolue au contact d'autres communautés et cultures. Cependant, aucune communauté ne devrait se dépouiller complètement de son histoire et de son identité culturelle. Ce n'est pas un hasard si différents environnements ont des histoires différentes. Nous réagissons à notre environnement en fonction des besoins qui y existent. Lorsque nous cessons de réfléchir et que nous adoptons sans questionner des solutions étrangères, l'intégrité de l'environnement commence à se dégrader. Dans ce cas, il ne reste plus grand-chose à cette communauté, si ce n'est de céder sa souveraineté à d'autres qui ont su mettre leur intelligence à contribution.
