IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW HONEST YOU CHOOSE TO BE. - TOUT DÉPEND DE VOTRE HONNÊTETÉ.

Accountability is often ignored when we are trying to diagnose the cause of an unsuccessful outcome. It is much easier to blame external factors. We look everywhere else but inward because we see ourselves as above board. We complain, we whine and we waste precious time and energy. Most of us cannot be truthful to ourselves and we are not bold enough to talk to people who will be honest with us. Therefore, we look for solutions that cannot solve the problem. The reality of admitting that the situation might have something to do with us makes a lot of people shy away from accountability. If we were only bold enough to get to the root of the matter, we will save ourselves a lot of time, energy and resources. 

Many people are angry at the quality of the fruits while ignoring the fact that they are just a reflection of what is going on at the root. If you do not change the quality of the roots, do not expect a change from the fruits. You can complain all you want, but it will not change anything. Most people are afraid to check the roots because that would mean making serious and painstaking changes that they would rather avoid. They look for other ways to try to better the quality of the fruits, but that cannot be done since they are connected to the source of the problems. You have to stop running from the only solution that you have to change the quality of your life. Dig deep, inspect the source and have the courage to change what needs to be changed so that you can enjoy the fruit of your labour. 

For some it is relationships, for others, it is destructive habits that are pleasurable while for some other people, it might be inordinate ambition or egotistic behaviour. We need to get to the bottom of the matter if we seriously want the successful results that we are looking for. Many of us are not honest enough to admit that we have problems with the roots. We relocate the plant with the deceased roots and the fruits change location but the quality does not change. We spend money to medicate the fruits but the quality remains the same. You have to deal with the roots and prune the branches and both processes are painful. Even if you improve the soil, the toxins are attached to the root. 

We have to be bold and smart enough to stop going round in circles. Most times, we have to decide to cut our losses and start all over again. Tough choices have to be made if we are determined to be successful. Emotions and ego have to be set aside in order for us to get our desired results. These are decisions that no one can make for you. When you decide to do what is right and profitable, you might start in difficulty but if you continue to progress, the choices and results will become easier and better. It all depends on how honest you are with the situation.

On néglige souvent la responsabilité lorsqu'on cherche à comprendre les causes d'un échec. Il est tellement plus facile de blâmer des facteurs externes. On cherche partout sauf en nous-mêmes, car on se croit irréprochable. On se plaint, on gémit et on gaspille un temps et une énergie précieux. La plupart d'entre nous ont du mal à être honnêtes avec nous-mêmes et n'osons pas parler à ceux qui le seront avec nous. Par conséquent, on cherche des solutions qui ne résolvent pas le problème. La simple idée d'admettre que la situation puisse avoir un lien avec nous dissuade beaucoup de personnes d'assumer leurs responsabilités. Si seulement nous avions le courage d'aller au fond des choses, nous économiserions beaucoup de temps, d'énergie et de ressources.

Nombreux sont ceux qui s'indignent de la qualité des résultats, sans se rendre compte qu'ils ne sont que le reflet des problèmes à la racine. Si vous ne changez pas la qualité des racines, n'espérez pas de changement dans les résultats. Vous pouvez vous plaindre autant que vous voulez, cela ne changera rien. La plupart des gens ont peur d'examiner les racines du problème, car cela impliquerait des changements importants et fastidieux qu'ils préfèrent éviter. Ils cherchent d'autres moyens d'améliorer la qualité des résultats, mais c'est impossible car ils sont liés à la source du problème. Il faut cesser de fuir la seule solution pour améliorer sa vie. Il faut creuser profondément, examiner la source du problème et avoir le courage de changer ce qui doit l'être afin de pouvoir profiter des fruits de son travail.

Pour certains, il s'agit de relations, pour d'autres, d'habitudes destructrices procurant du plaisir, tandis que pour d'autres encore, il peut s'agir d'une ambition démesurée ou d'un comportement égocentrique. Nous devons aller au fond des choses si nous voulons vraiment obtenir les résultats escomptés. Nombreux sont ceux qui n'ont pas l'honnêteté d'admettre que leurs problèmes viennent des racines du problème. On déplace la plante aux racines mortes, les résultats changent d'endroit mais leur qualité reste la même. On dépense de l'argent pour soigner les résultats, mais la qualité demeure inchangée. Il faut s'attaquer aux racines et tailler les branches, deux tâches pénibles. Même en améliorant le sol, les toxines restent attachées aux racines.

 Il nous faut faire preuve d'audace et de lucidité pour sortir de l'impasse. Bien souvent, il faut accepter nos pertes et repartir à zéro. Des choix difficiles s'imposent si nous aspirons à la réussite. Il est essentiel de mettre de côté ses émotions et son ego pour obtenir les résultats escomptés. Personne ne peut prendre ces décisions à notre place. Lorsque vous décidez d'agir de manière juste et profitable, les débuts peuvent être difficiles, mais la persévérance rendra les choix et les résultats plus faciles et meilleurs. Tout dépend de votre honnêteté face à la situation.

LEARNING SHOULD NOT HAVE AN EXPIRY DATE. - L'APPRENTISSAGE NE DEVRAIT PAS AVOIR DE DATE D'EXPIRATION.

So much has been said about the dash between our date of birth and our date of death. The understanding of the importance of this dash determines to a large extent how successful we become in life. This is what helps us to understand that we have only one life to live and all we have to do can only be done within that space of time. Many people live like they have a spare life somewhere. They leave carelessly with no intentions of making maximum use of the time they have. In order to maximise the life we have, we must grab every opportunity available to us to acquire the knowledge needed to pursue life intentionally. This means we have to continuously learn to keep abreast with our ever-changing world. 

It is quite a sad experience to interact with people who think they know too much and have nothing to learn from anyone else or any other experience. People who accomplish significant things are always open to learning. For them, learning is first and foremost continous. Secondly, they can learn from anyone and anything. If you do not want to go from womb to tomb just surviving or just living for the moment, you will have to open yourself up to every avenue of learning available to you. Even in the classroom where the teacher is supposed to have all the requisite knowledge, a good teacher will still be open to learning from the learners. No one has the exclusivity of knowledge. Learning has no expiration date, the brain does not stop functioning except in the case of death or serious health issues. You only see what you are looking for. If you want knowledge, it will pop up even from areas that you did not imagine you can get it from. 

Until we make up our minds to live with purpose we will never understand the value of continually developing ourselves. The reason some people refuse to learn is because they are satisfied with just living for the moment. Immediately they achieve some level of success that helps them to afford some of the so-called luxuries of life, they do not bother to improve themselves any further. They see getting additional knowledge to improve themselves as a bother. They never think about building something that will last. Something that will outlast them. Especially if you live in a society that is underdeveloped where life is mostly about survival. Immediately, there is enough to live somewhat comfortably, people in such environments see no need to improve themselves. 

That kind of mentality prevents people from seeing themselves as they really are; shallow minded people. The unfortunate thing is that they will always be subservient to those who have chosen to maximise their lives. These ones do not see success as an escape from the mediocre life, they see success as a way of improving life for themselves and others. Until you see life from this perspective, you will never think of living a life that will make valuable contributions to humanity and society.

On a beaucoup parlé de ce trait d'union entre notre naissance et notre mort. Comprendre l'importance de ce trait d'union détermine en grande partie notre réussite. Cela nous aide à comprendre que nous n'avons qu'une seule vie et que tout ce que nous avons à faire ne peut se faire que dans ce laps de temps. Nombreux sont ceux qui vivent comme s'ils avaient une vie de rechange. Ils vivent insouciants, sans se soucier d'exploiter pleinement le temps qui leur est imparti. Pour tirer le meilleur parti de notre vie, nous devons saisir toutes les occasions d'acquérir les connaissances nécessaires pour vivre pleinement. Cela signifie apprendre continuellement pour rester au fait des évolutions constantes du monde.

Il est assez triste de côtoyer des personnes qui se croient savantes et qui pensent n'avoir rien à apprendre des autres ni de l'expérience. Ceux qui accomplissent de grandes choses sont toujours ouverts à l'apprentissage. Pour eux, l'apprentissage est avant tout continu. Ensuite, ils peuvent apprendre de n'importe qui et de n'importe quoi. Si vous ne voulez pas passer votre vie à vous contenter de survivre au jour le jour, vous devez vous ouvrir à toutes les possibilités d'apprentissage. Même en classe, où l'enseignant est censé posséder toutes les connaissances requises, un bon professeur restera ouvert à l'apprentissage auprès des élèves. Personne ne détient l'exclusivité du savoir. L'apprentissage est un processus continu, le cerveau ne cesse de fonctionner qu'en cas de décès ou de grave problème de santé. On ne voit que ce que l'on cherche. Si vous aspirez à la connaissance, elle surgira même de domaines insoupçonnés.

Tant que nous n'aurons pas décidé de vivre avec un but, nous ne comprendrons jamais la valeur du développement personnel continu. Certains refusent d'apprendre car ils se contentent de vivre au jour le jour. Dès qu'ils atteignent un certain niveau de réussite leur permettant de s'offrir certains luxes, ils ne se soucient plus de s'améliorer. Acquérir de nouvelles connaissances est pour eux une corvée. Ils ne songent jamais à construire quelque chose de durable, quelque chose qui leur survivra. Surtout si vous vivez dans une société sous-développée où la survie est le seul objectif. Avec un minimum de ressources pour vivre confortablement, les gens, dans ces environnements, ne ressentent pas le besoin de s'améliorer.

Ce type de mentalité les empêche de se voir tels qu'ils sont réellement : des personnes superficielles. Malheureusement, ils resteront toujours subordonnés à ceux qui ont choisi de donner un sens à leur vie. Ces derniers ne voient pas le succès comme une échappatoire à la médiocrité, mais comme un moyen d'améliorer leur propre vie et celle des autres. Tant que vous n'adopterez pas cette perspective, vous ne songerez jamais à mener une vie qui apporte une contribution précieuse à l'humanité et à la société.

OPPORTUNITIES WON'T WAIT FOR YOU FOREVER. - LES OPPORTUNITÉS NE VOUS ATTENDRONT PAS ÉTERNELLEMENT.

When many people want to start the pursuit of a vision, there is always skepticism. Questions are asked. Opinions are given. All of this is actually necessary but only if it is done in good faith. Most times, it is to point out fears of failure. I recently transplanted flowers and as usual this is a very sensitive time for the plant. Most would lose all foliage before they take root and begin to grow new foliage. It just occurred to me that it is the same process with transplanting dreams from our minds to reality. When we start to execute, it looks nothing like what we have in mind until we begin to build and slowly the picture starts to become clear. However, many people waste a lot of time trying to get a picture perfect situation before taking any steps. 

Many of us wait until we are sure and that seems the most rational thing to do. Unfortunately, many people rationalised themselves out of wonderful opportunities. We want to wait until our ducks are all in a straight row. We want to have all the steps arranged before we take any steps. But that is not the modus operandi of life. It is good to be sure, no doubt, but it is smarter to set sail prepared for contrary winds. Some people have shifted from idea to idea, location to location, relationships to relationships and they are yet to take one progressive step. It is better to do what you can until the opportunity to do what you want presents itself. 

When we are focused on getting everything exactly right, we will be blindsided to opportunities that are available to us because they do not look like we imagined. It is an established fact that most times, opportunities do not present themselves in packages that we envisioned. If we are open to seizing whatever opportunities present that themselves, it will be easy to spot them immediately they become available. This can only happen to those who are determined to take steps even when the road is not quite clear. They begin to execute with the little understanding, knowledge and resources that they have. When we started this way, avenues to succeed begin to open up in ways that did not even imagine. 

The danger of waiting for perfect conditions is that opportunities have a lifespan. If they are not harnessed within that period, they will be lost. By the time that many people are ready to make the move, the train has moved on. If we want to be successful, we must realise that we have to stop waiting for everything to be exactly how we see it in our imagination. We start with parts and we will eventually arrive at the whole if we decide to seize the opportunity even when we do not feel ready.

Quand  beaucoup veulent commencer à concrétiser une vision, le scepticisme est souvent présent. On pose des questions, on donne son avis. Tout cela est nécessaire, certes, mais seulement si c'est fait de bonne foi. Le plus souvent, c'est pour souligner la peur de l'échec. J'ai récemment rempoté des fleurs et, comme toujours, c'est une période délicate pour la plante. La plupart perdent tout leur feuillage avant de s'enraciner et de produire de nouvelles feuilles. Je viens de réaliser que c'est le même processus qui consiste à transposer nos rêves de notre esprit à la réalité. Au début, le résultat est loin de ce qu'on avait imaginé, jusqu'à ce que la construction commence et que, peu à peu, l'image se précise. Cependant, beaucoup de gens perdent beaucoup de temps à essayer d'obtenir une situation idéale avant d'entreprendre quoi que ce soit.

Nombreux sont ceux qui attendent d'être sûrs, ce qui semble le plus rationnel. Malheureusement, beaucoup se privent ainsi de belles opportunités. On veut attendre que tout soit parfaitement en place, que chaque étape soit planifiée avant de faire quoi que ce soit. Mais la vie ne fonctionne pas ainsi. Il est bon d'être sûr de soi, certes, mais il est plus judicieux de se préparer à affronter les obstacles. Certains passent d'une idée à l'autre, d'un lieu à l'autre, d'une relation à l'autre, sans pour autant progresser. Mieux vaut faire ce que l'on peut en attendant que l'occasion de réaliser ses aspirations se présente.

À force de vouloir tout faire parfaitement, on risque de passer à côté d'opportunités qui s'offrent à nous, car elles ne correspondent pas à nos attentes. Il est avéré que, bien souvent, les opportunités ne se présentent pas comme prévu. Si l'on est prêt à saisir les opportunités qui se présentent, il sera facile de les repérer dès qu'elles se présentent. Seuls ceux qui sont déterminés à agir, même lorsque le chemin est incertain, peuvent y parvenir. Ils se mettent en action avec les maigres connaissances, compétences et ressources dont ils disposent. En agissant ainsi, des voies vers le succès s'ouvrent à eux de manière insoupçonnée.

Le danger d'attendre les conditions parfaites réside dans le fait que les opportunités ont une durée de vie limitée. Si elles ne sont pas saisies dans ce délai, elles seront perdues. Quand beaucoup sont enfin prêts à se lancer, il est déjà trop tard. Pour réussir, il faut accepter de ne plus attendre que tout soit parfait. On commence par les étapes, et on finira par atteindre l'ensemble si l'on saisit l'opportunité, même quand on ne se sent pas prêt.
