SOMEONE ELSE WILL ADD VALUE TO IT IF YOU DON'T. - QUELQU'UN D'AUTRE Y AJOUTERA DE LA VALEUR SI VOUS NE LE FAITES PAS.

If only we lived in a utopian world where our ‘whys’ were properly intertwined for the good of everyone. That way, there will not be a need for some of these so-called philanthropic activities stemming from wealth gotten from exploitative businesses. This is why it is really important for those who understand the game of life to appropriately use the resources of those that are vulnerable. These people who have a lesser understanding of how things work and this affects how they go about searching for ways of developing available resources with the good of their communities in mind. If they had proper understanding, they will take the resources found in that environment and add value to them. After which they can then give the improved products back to that community thereby producing a system that stops them from living in perpetual dependence.

 If available resources are used in a complementary manner, individuals and communities would be less dependent and more interdependent. What happens presently is that societies as well as individuals, look for weak links that are generally engendered by laziness or a lackadaisical attitude. They then look for ways to exploit a community with obvious weaknesses. This often happens to those communities that are naturally endowed but “careless”. This kind of environment is generally created due to a laid back stance of individuals and communities. They do not care for or value what they have around them. 

The truth about life is that if you leave your farm lying fallow, someone else will come in, acquire it, tend it and profit from it. Then they will add value to it and sell the products therefrom to you at a price that is determined by them. That is just life. Most times, it is not even greed on the part of the intelligent and industrious. It is just the way it is. The exploitative nature of human beings will be curtailed if we understood that our ‘whys’ are interconnected. If we each took our eyes off of how to live the good life for ourselves and oppress the ‘less’ privileged, life will be a beautiful thing. We need each other and although we cannot all be on the same level, we can all make it easier for everyone to make their personal contributions.

Si seulement nous vivions dans un monde utopique où nos raisons d'être seraient harmonieusement liées pour le bien de tous ! Ainsi, ces prétendues activités philanthropiques, alimentées par la richesse issue d'entreprises exploiteuses, n'auraient plus lieu d'être. C'est pourquoi il est crucial que ceux qui comprennent les enjeux de la vie utilisent judicieusement les ressources des plus vulnérables. Ces derniers, ayant une compréhension limitée du fonctionnement des choses, peinent à trouver des moyens de développer les ressources disponibles dans l'intérêt de leur communauté. S'ils possédaient cette compréhension, ils valoriseraient les ressources de leur environnement et pourraient ensuite redistribuer ces produits améliorés à leur communauté, créant ainsi un système qui les sortirait d'une dépendance perpétuelle.

Si les ressources disponibles étaient utilisées de manière complémentaire, les individus et les communautés seraient moins dépendants et plus interdépendants. Or, actuellement, les sociétés comme les individus recherchent les maillons faibles, généralement engendrés par la paresse ou le manque d'implication. Ils cherchent ensuite à exploiter une communauté présentant des faiblesses évidentes. Cela arrive souvent aux communautés naturellement riches mais « insouciantes ». Ce type d'environnement est généralement dû à une attitude désinvolte des individus et des communautés. Ils ne se soucient pas de ce qui les entoure et ne le valorisent pas.

La vérité, c'est que si vous laissez votre ferme en friche, quelqu'un d'autre viendra, l'acquerra, la cultivera et en tirera profit. Il y ajoutera ensuite de la valeur et vous vendra les produits à un prix qu'il fixera lui-même. C'est la vie. Le plus souvent, il ne s'agit même pas de cupidité de la part des personnes intelligentes et travailleuses. C'est simplement ainsi. La nature exploiteuse de l'être humain serait freinée si nous comprenions que nos raisons d'être sont interconnectées. Si chacun cessait de chercher à mener une vie agréable et d'opprimer les « moins » privilégiés, la vie serait belle. Nous avons besoin les uns des autres et, même si nous ne sommes pas tous au même niveau, nous pouvons faciliter la contribution de chacun.

The major problem why a lot of us do not get ourselves into a process where we are made to look more closely at what we have, is because we believe or have been made to believe that we do not have anything to offer. People are categorised into those who are talented and those who are just ordinary and supposed to live off others. For this group of people, they are just supposed to use whatever they have to earn a living and die peacefully. When this happens, we are faced with a constant urge (that we do not want to admit) of knowing that we are living far less than life intended for us. This is a sad situation because nobody should waste what life has put there for the growth and development of a people because of ignorance and nonchalance.

Oftentimes, it seems like we are just supposed to live life without paying attention to the importance of what we as individuals carry that can be deployed in the development of our communities and the wellbeing of others. Thus, we carry on in life by constantly looking for material things that can give us pleasure and make us feel like we are living the good life and living better than our neighbours. What you have to offer is never insignificant, but it will only be as significant as you make it. If you believe that what you have amounts to something, you will never be ashamed to put it out there. Life is not demanding from you what you do not have, it is asking you to bring it to the table so that it can be

added to what others have. 

The totality of available resources would then be used for the benefit of everyone. It is quite intimidating though, at times, to come forward this way because the world has categorised people’s resources. It can be discouraging when others do not believe that what you have to contribute does not amount to much. It should interest you to know that at one time, salt was one of the most valuable commodities and diamonds were not even on the radar of high priced commodities in the world. You never know when your ‘little’ will become something that is sought after. It grieves my heart that most of our call to success is to produce people who have it all together but whose only concern is how they appear in society.

Le principal problème qui nous empêche, nous, de nous engager dans une démarche d'introspection, est que nous croyons, ou qu'on nous a fait croire, que nous n'avons rien à offrir. On catégorise les gens en deux groupes : ceux qui sont talentueux et ceux qui sont simplement ordinaires et censés vivre aux crochets des autres. Pour ces derniers, il s'agit simplement d'utiliser ce qu'ils ont pour gagner leur vie et mourir en paix. Dans ce cas, nous sommes confrontés à un sentiment constant (que nous refusons d'admettre) : celui de vivre bien en deçà de ce que la vie aurait dû nous offrir. C'est une situation regrettable, car personne ne devrait gaspiller, par ignorance ou insouciance, les ressources que la vie nous a données pour la croissance et le développement d'un peuple.

Souvent, il semble que nous soyons censés vivre sans nous soucier de l'importance de ce que nous possédons en tant qu'individus et qui pourrait contribuer au développement de nos communautés et au bien-être d'autrui. Ainsi, nous poursuivons notre vie en recherchant constamment des biens matériels qui nous procurent du plaisir et nous donnent l'impression de mener une vie agréable, meilleure que celle de nos voisins. Ce que vous avez à offrir n'est jamais insignifiant, mais sa valeur dépendra de vous. Si vous croyez en la valeur de ce que vous possédez, vous n'aurez jamais honte de le partager. La vie ne vous demande pas ce que vous n'avez pas, elle vous invite à contribuer afin que cela puisse enrichir les ressources des autres.

L'ensemble des ressources disponibles serait alors utilisé au profit de tous. Il est parfois intimidant de se manifester ainsi, car le monde a catégorisé les ressources de chacun. Il peut être décourageant de constater que certains doutent de la valeur de votre contribution. Il est intéressant de savoir qu'à une époque, le sel était l'une des denrées les plus précieuses et que les diamants ne figuraient même pas parmi les matières premières les plus chères au monde. On ne sait jamais quand ce qui nous semble modeste deviendra recherché. Il est navrant de constater que notre quête de réussite vise souvent à former des personnes qui semblent avoir tout pour elles, mais dont la seule préoccupation est leur image sociale.

LIFE IS TOO CONNECTED FOR YOU TO LIVE SELFISHLY. - LA VIE EST TROP INTERCONNECTEÉ POUR QUE VOUS PUISSIEZ VIVRE DE MANIÈRE ÉGOÏSTE.

Work is where we get to use what we have to create the kind of life we want in an environment that is conducive for growth and development. A place where lives are improved because everyone is using what they have to the advantage of everyone. When we plan on enjoying life this way, the first thing we need to figure out would be our natural endowments. Then depending on at what point you come to the realisation of your ‘why’, you will also have to look at what other attributes you have acquired through education and life lessons in general. There are those who are fortunate enough to have figured things out before they chose a career path or before they began the pursuit of their vision. With this category of people, they start making choices early that will help them productively deploy whatever they have in their contributions to the

development of their environment.

The question "WHAT?" will help us use the understanding of our ‘why’ to the benefit of others. We need to be able to take an inventory of what we have as resources in order to determine where, how, or why we have the opportunity to be in possession of what we have. This is so important because we live in a world where we are majorly concerned with the end and not the means. Then we turn around and wonder why so many people are so frustrated with their jobs. The TGIF (Thank God it’s Friday) joy on Fridays and the dread of Mondays is a testament to the world in which we have found ourselves where we are not really interested in what we do because all we really want to do is earn a living. I believe life is meant to be enjoyed not just in times set apart for leisure but more importantly in work as well. 

 There are, however, those who take a longer route and time to discover who they are and what resources they have that will help them walk the path. This discovery will bring them the satisfaction of being a contributing member to the growth of a community. At whatever point we get to this place, we have to decide what it will take for us to use what we have to add value to the development of our environment. A lot of people who have not spent time examining life along these lines believe that what they have is for their own growth and success. Because of this belief they have refused to confront the ‘why’ of their existence. Life as we generally understand it, especially in a world that is getting more and more competitive, is a game of strength where the fittest survives and enslaves the weak. We therefore only see all we have as weapons rather than gifts and talents that can be used for the greater good. Unfortunately, we rarely think of how we can use what we have to improve our environment unless there is something for us to gain.

Le travail nous permet d'utiliser nos ressources pour créer la vie que nous souhaitons, dans un environnement propice à l'épanouissement et au développement. Un lieu où la vie s'améliore car chacun met ses atouts au service de tous. Pour profiter pleinement de la vie, il faut d'abord identifier nos aptitudes naturelles. Ensuite, selon le moment où l'on prend conscience de son « pourquoi », il faut également considérer les autres qualités acquises grâce à l'éducation et aux leçons de la vie. Certains ont la chance d'avoir trouvé leur voie avant même de choisir une carrière ou de se lancer dans la réalisation de leur vision. Ces personnes font très tôt des choix qui leur permettent de mettre leurs talents au service du développement de leur environnement.

Se poser la question « QUOI ? » nous aide à utiliser la compréhension de notre « pourquoi » au profit d'autrui. Il est essentiel de faire l'inventaire de nos ressources pour déterminer où, comment et pourquoi nous avons la chance de les posséder. C'est crucial, car nous vivons dans un monde où l'on se préoccupe surtout du résultat et non des moyens. Puis on s'étonne de la frustration de tant de personnes au travail. La joie du vendredi et la redoute du lundi témoignent du monde dans lequel nous vivons, où

nous ne nous intéressons plus vraiment à ce que nous faisons, car notre seul objectif est de gagner notre vie. Je crois que la vie est faite pour être appréciée, non seulement pendant les loisirs, mais aussi, et c'est tout aussi important, au travail.

Certains, cependant, choisissent un chemin plus long, celui de se découvrir et d'identifier les ressources dont ils disposent pour avancer. Cette découverte leur apporte la satisfaction de contribuer au développement de la communauté. À ce stade, il nous faut décider comment mettre nos atouts au service de l'amélioration de notre environnement. Nombreux sont ceux qui, n'ayant pas pris le temps d'examiner la vie sous cet angle, pensent que leurs possessions sont destinées à leur propre épanouissement et à leur réussite. C’est à cause de cette croyance qu’ils ont refusé de s’interroger sur le sens de leur existence. La vie, telle que nous la concevons généralement, surtout dans un monde de plus en plus compétitif, est une lutte de force où les plus forts survivent et asservissent les plus faibles. Nous ne voyons donc que des armes dans tout ce que nous possédons, plutôt que des dons et des talents que nous pourrions mettre au service du bien commun. Malheureusement, nous réfléchissons rarement à la manière dont nous pourrions utiliser nos ressources pour améliorer notre environnement, sauf si nous y trouvons notre compte.
