MentorAfrica
AFRICA IS A CONTINENT ON THE MOVE AND HER YOUTHS ARE HER GREATEST RESOURCE."We cannot always build a future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future."Franklin D. Roosevelt. MentorAfrica looks to help youths, through various life transition mentoring topics, to prepare youths for development and leadership that will help them change the African narrative whenever the opportunity arises.

jobs or the wickedness of those in position who refuse to formulate policies and provide an enabling
environment for people to thrive. There are no ideal societies (even though some can actually stifle those
who let them) so what we need is not grumbling and complaining, it is looking for avenues to loosen the
noose around your throat so you can breathe. Most successful people have had to do this, it is just that
the noose is tighter in some cases but people have succeeded in freeing themselves and making the most
of their lives. What is most annoying about these groups of people is the fact that while they are
constantly whining about what they do not have, they spend the whole day watching TV and jesting on
social media with the resources of time, energy and “little” money that are available to them. Until we
realise that we are the only ones who can do something meaningful with our lives, we will continue to lie
on our bed of excuses and slumber through life.
When we are confronted by unpleasant situations, most of us, especially in Africa, always have excuses
why we cannot do anything about them and to be honest, sometimes these are genuine. However, like I
have often said from my own experience, we will die regretting if we wait for the right conditions for us
to do whatever we can to make the situation better, even if it is just to make it slightly better. When we
concentrate our efforts on whatever assets we have, we will begin to see little ways in which we can use
them to start our lives on the right path. There should be no feeling as good as putting in your best to
make someone or something better even if your contribution does not completely accomplish the desired
change. The important question is: “
What are you concentrating on, your assets or your liabilities?”

Do have a great week!
Make today a day to remember by the depth of knowledge you decide to acquire.
Make sure you properly engage your mind.
