The trajectory of life is usually from potential to opportunity. This understanding is aided by how we look at what we consider or do not consider as potential. Everything has potential and therein lies the opportunity to be harnessed. However, this can only be seen by those whose perspective has been developed and sharpened enough to actually understand life that way. Attitude is the key to the kind of success that produces great impact. Life is no respecter of environments. It is more a respecter of people with the right perspective who are too bold, too resilient and too committed to not see what others have refused to see. The environment in which you find yourself cannot and should not determine what you can or cannot do. This is in no way undermining difficult terrains and their harsh realities. 

Nonetheless, the only determining factor should be how you see the environment and what you think about what you see. It is unfortunate that we allow the collective opinion of people to determine how we relate to our environment. We will definitely be confronted with the harsh realities of what exists around us and denying the facts will be sheer folly. Nevertheless, the only way we can progress will be determined by how we CHOOSE to interpret those facts because that is the only thing that we can control. If we take our eyes off the facts, we will never be able to do anything about them. One the other hand, if we decide to take a good look with a view of seeing the good that can be gotten from the facts, then we will be on the right path. The reason many people throw in the towel is that they have no assets in their balance sheet of the assessment of the environment and there are no one-sided balance sheets in life. There are no balance

sheets with equal assets and liabilities either. How we view what is listed in each category will determine how we handle life and what we can gain or lose. 

The moment you decide to see your environment differently, you will begin to see things that will inspire ideas that you never would have imagined existed there. Dreams are not born in times of prosperity, they are normally birthed from adversity and the need to overcome what is trying to destroy us. There is no telling what necessity would pull out of a person that refuses to bow and accept the status quo. If it were possible for each of us to look at our environment more intently, we might develop an appetite to search for ways in which we can add value and improve the quality of life around us. This is better than just sitting and waiting for opportunities that we might never recognise because we not present mentally. We do not have to wait for someone else to come up with ways to add value to the resources that have been lying dormant all around us before we begin to scramble to be part of ready-made answers.

La trajectoire de la vie va généralement du potentiel à l'opportunité. Cette compréhension est facilitée par notre perception du potentiel.

Tout recèle un potentiel, et c'est là que réside l'opportunité à exploiter. Cependant, seuls ceux dont la perspective s'est suffisamment développée et affûtée pour appréhender la vie sous cet angle peuvent le percevoir. L'attitude est la clé d'un succès ayant un impact significatif. La vie ne tient pas compte des environnements. Elle tient davantage aux personnes dotées d'une perspective juste, trop audacieuses, trop résilientes et trop engagées pour ignorer ce que d'autres refusent de voir. L'environnement dans lequel vous vous trouvez ne peut et ne doit pas déterminer vos capacités. Il ne s'agit en aucun cas de minimiser les difficultés et leurs dures réalités.

Néanmoins, le seul facteur déterminant devrait être votre perception de l'environnement et votre interprétation de ce que vous voyez. Il est regrettable que nous laissions l'opinion collective dicter notre rapport à notre environnement. Nous serons inévitablement confrontés aux dures réalités qui nous entourent, et nier les faits serait pure folie. Néanmoins, notre progression dépendra de la manière dont nous CHOISISSONS d'interpréter ces faits, car c'est la seule chose que nous pouvons contrôler. Si nous détournons le regard des faits, nous ne pourrons jamais rien y changer. En revanche, si nous décidons d'examiner attentivement la situation en nous concentrant sur les aspects positifs à tirer des faits, alors nous serons sur la bonne voie. Si beaucoup baissent les bras, c'est parce qu'ils n'ont aucune perspective positive sur leur environnement, et il n'existe pas de bilan équilibré dans la vie. Aucun bilan ne présente un équilibre parfait entre actifs et passifs. Notre perception des éléments listés dans chaque catégorie déterminera notre façon d'appréhender la vie et ce que nous pouvons gagner ou perdre.

Dès l'instant où vous déciderez de porter un regard différent sur votre environnement, vous commencerez à percevoir des choses qui inspireront des idées insoupçonnées. Les rêves ne naissent pas dans la prospérité, mais plutôt dans l'adversité et la nécessité de surmonter ce qui menace de nous détruire. Nul ne sait ce que la nécessité peut révéler à celui qui refuse de se soumettre et d'accepter le statu quo. Si chacun d'entre nous observait son environnement avec plus d'attention, nous pourrions développer le désir de chercher comment y apporter notre contribution et améliorer la qualité de vie qui nous entoure. C'est préférable à l'attente passive d'opportunités que nous ne verrons peut-être jamais, faute d'être pleinement présents. Nous n'avons pas à attendre que quelqu'un d'autre trouve comment valoriser les ressources inexploitées qui nous entourent avant de nous précipiter sur des solutions toutes faites.
