There is nothing as profitable as having shoulders to stand on. You do not only see farther, you have someone to hold you, helping you to be properly balance until you are courageous and comfortable enough to proceed on your own to arrive at the desired destination you have seen. What keeps a lot of people from taking steps towards their vision is the fact that they have no vantage point from which to get the needed clarity that gives us the necessary confidence we need to move in the direction of our vision. This is the very important place that mentoring occupies because it helps us to see clearer with the help of those who have walked the road before and can teach and help us go further, faster. It is unfortunate that this relationship has been turned into something of prestige and clout rather than a learning process. Sadly though, we have to realise that success cannot be imparted, it demands a process that we must fully walk to arrive at our desired destination. With so many people seemingly seeking for mentorship these days and so little effects of these relationships visible, I am beginning to wonder if many seekers are honest. We live in times where everyone wants to be known and heard so it is not out of place for many to seek this route. They believe the closer you are to the famous, the more visible you become. Are you honest about your desire for mentorship? The attention you seek or the access you want into certain circles that you desire are too superfluous for any form of lasting results whatsoever. Success is only guaranteed to those who are humble enough to sit and learn at the feet of those who have gone where we seek to go. When you are patient and committed enough to walk the path with aid of someone who has paid the needed price, you will accomplish more than you can ever imagined. Do have a beautiful day!
AFRICA IS A CONTINENT ON THE MOVE AND HER YOUTHS ARE HER GREATEST RESOURCE."We cannot always build a future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future."Franklin D. Roosevelt. MentorAfrica looks to help youths, through various life transition mentoring topics, to prepare youths for development and leadership that will help them change the African narrative whenever the opportunity arises.
