We have all come to somewhat agree
that content is king. The pressure is on for interesting content creation
because of the amount information that we have now, your content has to be
really good to get attention. Everywhere you turn these days, there is so much information
about almost everything. I remember the days when we had to find out meaning of
words and explanation to things from dictionaries and encyclopedias. Hmmmm...
We ended up most times deciding to postpone or abort the search altogether because we did not have these voluminous materials. Most times, we were
not close to the library or we did not have the time and patience for the
needed search. We have come a long way, most of us now carry "these
libraries" in our wallets or our pockets. How often we use them is another
matter altogether. Even in this information age, it is only the amount of
information you allow into your system that determines the amount of light you
walk in. This explains why some people think Africa is a country. We all wonder
at such apparent ignorance, but have you asked yourself how much light you are
allowing into your life? The amount of light you have is not determined by how
much you have been exposed to, it is determined by how much you have taken in. Most
of us are just sifting through content without paying particular attention to
how information can change our lives for the better. Information that adds no
value to your life is not worth your salt. Most of what we consume these days
is for entertainment, not for improvement of our lives or to help our
contributions to human development. The light we have is the strength we have
and it is the strength we have that enables us to become those who can help
others gain from our journey in order to make theirs easier. You can only
enlighten the path of another by the amount of light you carry. Develop the
habit of consuming information that will always leave you more enlightened than
before you came in contact with it. Enjoy your day!AFRICA IS A CONTINENT ON THE MOVE AND HER YOUTHS ARE HER GREATEST RESOURCE."We cannot always build a future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future."Franklin D. Roosevelt. MentorAfrica looks to help youths, through various life transition mentoring topics, to prepare youths for development and leadership that will help them change the African narrative whenever the opportunity arises.
