One thing I have noticed working
with most youths is that they believe they can complete all your
sentences. I read about a wife whose
husband had a vast knowledge of various subjects. She, however, noticed that he
hardly contributed to conversations outside. When she asked him why, he said
that if he talked he would be saying what he already knows but if he listened,
he would acquire knowledge he did not already have. I believe that most times, those
who want to learn talk less and listen more. No sane person will pour water
into a glass full of water. There is nothing as frustrating as trying to teach
someone who thinks they know everything. That is quite unfortunate because
others around them know that they do not know as much as they claim, yet they
prevent themselves from getting the additional knowledge needed to live life
and to fulfill their purpose. There is always something new to learn for those
who are open to learn. The beautiful thing about such people is that they can
learn from anything and anyone. There is nothing you can do to help someone who
is set in their ways and do not want to humble themselves and embrace knowledge
that can bring the change they need to help propel them to the next level. If
you want to make any significant progress or impact in life, you must assume
the posture of a learner always. This way, you can always hear and understand
issues beyond the way they are being presented, one piece of information can
help you connect dots in the least expected ways. Most times, we come across
some puzzle that we try to immediately figure out but to no avail. Then at some
unexpected time we can get the enlightenment we need from something or someone we came across somewhere else at another instance. Never be too full that you
cannot get the enlightenment you require to understand the next step you need

Une chose que j'ai remarquée en travaillant avec la plupart des jeunes, c'est qu'ils croient pouvoir terminer toutes vos phrases. J'ai lu au sujet d'une femme dont le mari avait une vaste connaissance de divers sujets. Elle a cependant remarqué qu'il n'a guère contribué aux conversations à l'extérieur. Quand elle lui a demandé pourquoi, il a dit que s'il parlait, il dirait ce qu'il savait déjà, mais s'il écoutait, il acquiert des connaissances qu'il ne possède pas déjà. Je crois que la plupart du temps, ceux qui veulent apprendre parlent moins et écoutent plus. Aucune personne sensée ne versera de l'eau dans un verre plein d'eau. Il n'y a rien de plus frustrant que d'essayer d'enseigner à quelqu'un qui pense tout savoir. C'est assez malheureux parce que les autres autour d'eux savent qu'ils ne savent pas autant qu'ils le prétendent, mais ils s'empêchent d'acquérir les connaissances supplémentaires nécessaires pour vivre la vie et atteindre leur objectif. Il y a toujours quelque chose de nouveau à apprendre pour ceux qui sont ouverts à apprendre. La beauté de ces personnes est qu'elles peuvent apprendre de tout et de n'importe qui. Il n'y a rien que vous puissiez faire pour aider quelqu'un qui est mis dans sa voie et qui ne veut pas s'humilier et embrasser les connaissances qui peuvent apporter le changement dont il a besoin pour l'aider à passer au niveau supérieur. Si vous voulez faire des progrès ou avoir un impact significatif dans la vie, vous devez toujours assumer la posture d'un apprenant. De cette façon, vous pouvez toujours entendre et comprendre les problèmes au-delà de la façon dont ils sont présentés, une seule information peut vous aider à relier les points de la manière la moins attendue. La plupart du temps, nous rencontrons des casse-tête que nous essayons de comprendre immédiatement mais en vain. Puis, à un moment inattendu, nous pouvons obtenir l'illumination dont nous avons besoin à partir de quelque chose ou de quelqu'un que nous avons rencontré quelque part à un autre moment. I once read the story of a
grandparent who took their grandchild to a zoo. As they were passing by the
cage of an eagle, the grandchild began to cry. When she was asked why she was
crying, she said she was pained by the fact that the eagle who is supposed to
be flying at great heights is trapped in a cage. For me, this is a very
familiar scenario because I come in contact with a lot of people who are so
talented but are living in cages and they do not even know it. Some are living
in the cage of their past, some in the cage of tradition and many in the cage
of ignorance. If you allow life and others, they will put you in a cage. For
most, the lock in the cage has been removed but they are too scared to step
into the unknown. For others, they would rather remain where they can be fed
than come out, soar and release the beauty and the power they have within. The cost
of freedom is too weighty for some to bear. It is not about the environment or
the opportunities, it is about the person and their perspective. When I hear of
people planning to change their location because they are tired of their
current circumstances, the only thing that comes to mind is that they are just
moving their cage from one place to another or from one job to another or one
relationship to another. If you do not mentally break free from the limitations
of your cage, you will not be able to excel, no matter where you are or what
you do or who you know. The environment may change, the people may change but
until you are bold enough to come out of your cage and experience the freedom
to express your life in colours and in altitude, you will never be truly
successful. Are you living in a beautiful cage located in a beautiful
environment or you are riding the storms of life to reach a height where you
can truly express yourself? Until we have an honest answer to this question, we
can never really understand our purpose and the power of our influence and impact.
When you are mentally stuck, you will remain within the parameters of your
perspective of life. The only true freedom you will ever know in order for you
to soar and succeed is to shift your paradigm. Do have a great day!
J'ai lu une fois l'histoire d'un grand-parent qui a emmené son petit-enfant dans un zoo. Alors qu'ils passaient devant la cage d'un aigle, le petit-enfant se mit à pleurer. Lorsqu'on lui a demandé pourquoi elle pleurait, elle a dit qu'elle était peinée par le fait que l'aigle qui est censé voler à de grandes hauteurs est pris au piège dans une cage. Pour moi, c'est un scénario très familier car j'entre en contact avec beaucoup de gens qui sont si talentueux mais qui vivent dans des cages et ils ne le savent même pas. Certains vivent dans la cage de leur passé, certains dans la cage de la tradition et beaucoup dans la cage de l'ignorance. Si vous autorisez la vie et les autres, ils vous mettront dans une cage. Pour la plupart, le verrou de la cage a été retiré, mais ils ont trop peur pour entrer dans l'inconnu. Pour d'autres, ils préfèrent rester là où ils peuvent être nourris plutôt que de sortir, de planer et de libérer la beauté et le pouvoir qu'ils ont à l'intérieur. Le coût de la liberté est trop lourd à supporter pour certains. Il ne s'agit pas de l'environnement ou des opportunités, il s'agit de la personne et de son point de vue. Quand j'entends parler de personnes qui ont l'intention de changer leur location parce qu'elles sont fatiguées de leur situation actuelle, la seule chose qui me vient à l'esprit est qu'elles ne font que déplacer leur cage d'un endroit à un autre ou d'un travail à un autre ou d'une relation à une autre . Si vous ne vous libérez pas mentalement des limites de votre cage, vous ne pourrez pas exceller, peu importe où vous êtes ou ce que vous faites ou qui vous connaissez. L'environnement peut changer, les gens peuvent changer mais jusqu'à ce que vous soyez assez audacieux pour sortir de votre cage et expérimenter la liberté d'exprimer votre vie en couleurs et en altitude, vous ne réussirez jamais vraiment. Vivez-vous dans une belle cage située dans un bel environnement ou surfez-vous sur les tempêtes de la vie pour atteindre une hauteur où vous pouvez vraiment vous exprimer? Jusqu'à ce que nous ayons une réponse honnête à cette question, nous ne pourrons jamais vraiment comprendre notre objectif et la puissance de notre influence et de notre impact. Lorsque vous êtes mentalement bloqué, vous resterez dans les paramètres de votre perspective de vie.
