YOU NEVER KNOW. - ON NE SAIT JAMAIS.

There is so much going on in the world and so many people are talking about everything and anything at the same time and at times, you wonder what is there for you to talk about. But even then you feel this push to continue to say whatever you want to say because it might not be new but you are the only one that can express it the way that you do. There is nothing new but there might be something in the way you express an idea that might make it resonate with someone in a way that it hasn't done to them before. When you are in the business of making sure that people are in a position to always make the right decisions, you cannot stop yourself from expressing yourself even if it is for the sake of one person.

While people are looking for large audiences online and offline, it is imperative to recognise the importance of the audience of one. That one person making the right decision will have some ripple effects that you can never imagine. Your reach might be limited but that one individual might have a wider reach and that your perspective might affect a number of people that you cannot calculate. And with the Internet, ideas are stored for decades. People stumble on ideas that were expressed by someone a long time ago and they are helped by what they read. It might even help them out of a present state of confusion. You never know. If you really want to make a difference, do not allow yourself to be discouraged by numbers. Once you make an impact with one or a few, you will never be able to measure the import of that impact.

People who want to make a difference should not put numbers before passion. This is not to say that numbers are not important in a sense but, we must allow our passion to be the real driver of what we are doing. If I was working with numbers I would have quit long ago. Anytime I want to feel discouraged, I have this feeling that I might be letting someone down who might stumble on my help and I get down to express my idea for the day. It is funny how the numbers for that day maybe abysmal by human judgement and then I find some really crazy numbers at a time that I am not expecting any such thing.

When it is your passion, you will do it with excellence regardless of the outcome at any given moment. People that have the passion to affect lives and change landscapes for good will keep going no matter the pace. It is not the numbers or accolades that keep them going, it is a vision that they are passionate about that keeps them going even when everyone and everything else is indicating the contrary.

Il se passe tellement de choses dans le monde, tant de gens parlent de tout et de rien en même temps, et parfois, on se demande ce qu'il y a à dire. Mais même dans ce cas, on ressent cette envie de continuer à dire ce qu'on a envie de dire, car ce n'est peut-être pas nouveau, mais on est le seul à pouvoir l'exprimer comme on le fait. Il n'y a rien de nouveau, mais il y a peut-être quelque chose dans la façon dont on exprime une idée qui pourrait la faire résonner chez quelqu'un comme jamais auparavant. Quand on a pour mission de s'assurer que chacun soit en mesure de toujours prendre les bonnes décisions, on ne peut s'empêcher de s'exprimer, même si c'est pour le bien d'une seule personne.

Si les gens recherchent un large public, en ligne et hors ligne, il est impératif de reconnaître l'importance de ce public. La décision d'une seule personne aura des répercussions inimaginables. Votre portée sera peut-être limitée, mais cette personne pourra avoir une portée plus large et votre point de vue pourra toucher un nombre incalculable de personnes. Et avec Internet, les idées sont conservées pendant des décennies. Les gens tombent sur des idées exprimées il y a longtemps et leurs lectures les aident. Cela pourrait même les sortir de leur confusion actuelle. On ne sait jamais. Si vous voulez vraiment faire bouger les choses, ne vous laissez pas décourager par les chiffres. Une fois que vous aurez marqué un point avec une ou quelques personnes, vous ne pourrez jamais en mesurer l'importance.

Ceux qui veulent faire bouger les choses ne devraient pas privilégier les chiffres à la passion. Cela ne veut pas dire que les chiffres ne sont pas importants, mais nous devons laisser notre passion être le véritable moteur de notre action. Si je travaillais avec les chiffres, j'aurais abandonné depuis longtemps. Chaque fois que je me sens découragé, j'ai le sentiment de décevoir quelqu'un qui pourrait tomber sur mon aide et je me lance alors dans l'expression de mon idée du jour. C'est amusant de voir comment les chiffres de ce jour peuvent paraître exorbitants à l'échelle humaine, et puis je tombe sur des chiffres vraiment incroyables à un moment où je ne m'attendais pas à une telle chose.

 Quand c'est votre passion, vous l'exercerez avec excellence, quel que soit le résultat. Ceux qui ont la passion d'influencer des vies et de changer le monde pour de bon continueront d'avancer, quel que soit le rythme. Ce ne sont pas les chiffres ou les distinctions qui les motivent, mais une vision qui les passionne, même lorsque tout et tout indique le contraire.
