People are very important to the execution and success of any vision. There are those who will be with you temporarily and some will stay with you till the end. There is also another group that we must be mindful of; those who leave you when you need them most. It is not a secret that the path to success is froth with hard places. Some are prolonged and it takes a lot of courage and conviction to make it through those places. These are times when those who are genuinely standing by you will be separated from those who just want the glory of the journey. The ones who believe in you and are determined to stay will remain through those seasons no matter what it costs.

Just like everything in life, the cycle of ease will return and there will be acceleration in the process. When things ease off and the progress becomes visible, some of those who left will want to return to share in the glory. These fair weather people are dangerous. They will watch you sink to the bottom and join the naysayers to criticise you and people will believe them because they were once part of the journey. They are those who will form the 'I told him so' club and become a discouragement to the visionary. Some are so discreet about what they do that it might be difficult for a naive visionary to notice the part they playing.

Every visionary needs to pay attention and be sensitive to those they allow to undertake the journey with them. This becomes a make or break factor during the times of difficulty. If care is not taken, they will be deceived by certain individuals around them. Not everybody around you is a cheerleader. If we are not sensitive to people's actions, especially in those down times, we can become discouraged and quit due to the actions of those who we trusted to be in our circle. When we finally reach our destination successfully, these same people will want to reap where they did not sow. For old times sake, we can allow them certain privileges around us but we must be careful not to bring them back into our inner circle where they have the opportunity to abandon and discourage us again when the going gets tough.

Always endeavour to choose your circle carefully because a lot rides on the choices that you make. Give people a chance but do not allow them to determine the boundaries, let that be your perogative. At the end of the day, the success or failure of your life is solely dependent on the choices that you make.

Les personnes sont essentielles à la réalisation et à la réussite de toute vision. Certaines vous accompagnent temporairement, d'autres vous accompagnent jusqu'au bout. Il existe également un autre groupe auquel il faut prêter attention : ceux qui vous quittent au moment où vous en avez le plus besoin. Ce n'est un secret pour personne : le chemin vers le succès est semé d'embûches. Certaines sont longues et il faut beaucoup de courage et de conviction pour les surmonter. Ce sont des moments où ceux qui vous soutiennent sincèrement se séparent de ceux qui ne recherchent que la gloire du voyage. Ceux qui croient en vous et sont déterminés à rester resteront malgré tout, quoi qu'il en coûte.

Comme tout dans la vie, le cycle de la facilité reviendra et le processus s'accélérera. Lorsque les choses s'apaiseront et que les progrès deviendront visibles, certains de ceux qui sont partis voudront revenir pour partager la gloire. Ces gens de la belle saison sont dangereux. Ils vous regarderont sombrer et se joindront aux sceptiques pour vous critiquer, et on les croira parce qu'ils ont fait partie du voyage. Ce sont ceux qui formeront le club des « Je le lui avais bien dit » et décourageront le visionnaire. Certains sont si discrets sur leurs actions qu'il pourrait être difficile pour un visionnaire naïf de remarquer leur rôle.

Tout visionnaire doit être attentif et sensible à ceux qu'il accepte d'accompagner dans son cheminement. Cela devient un facteur décisif dans les moments difficiles. S'il n'y prend pas garde, il sera trompé par certains de ses proches. Tout le monde n'est pas forcément un encourageur. Si nous ne sommes pas attentifs aux actions des autres, surtout dans les moments difficiles, nous pouvons nous décourager et abandonner à cause des actions de ceux en qui nous avions confiance. Une fois arrivés à destination, ces mêmes personnes voudront récolter là où elles n'ont pas semé. En souvenir du passé, nous pouvons leur accorder certains privilèges, mais nous devons veiller à ne pas les ramener dans notre cercle intime, où ils pourraient nous abandonner et nous décourager à nouveau lorsque les choses se compliquent.

Efforcez-vous toujours de choisir votre cercle avec soin, car vos choix sont déterminants. Donnez une chance aux autres, mais ne leur laissez pas fixer vos limites ; c'est à vous de prendre cette décision. En fin de compte, la réussite ou l'échec de votre vie dépend uniquement de vos choix.

EVEN TODAY, IT STILL HAS GREAT VALUE.-MÊME AUJOURD'HUI, IL A TOUJOURS UNE GRANDE VALEUR.

The rate at which people speak what they do not mean is very alarming. We throw words around without any intentions of making good on what we say. The value of words is becoming smaller by the day. It is either people are lying outrightly or they are exaggerating. These are the days in which we need to double check what people are saying to us. The unfortunate thing is that many people are beginning to think less seriously about incidences of lack of integrity. They excuse such acts as 'normal'. Lives and businesses have been lost to lack of integrity and people still trivialise such serious matters. The evidence of frivolous words and lies is all around us and things are not looking good.

People are getting away with such lack of integrity and some are actually being celebrated. That are a majority of people are doing a particular thing does not make it right. If you want to be a genuine person of influence, you have to have a high level of integrity. It might take you longer to build that dream but it will surely make the impact to last longer. You do not have to crave the applause and recognition of people. Build in silence and your results will annonce you before people hear you. It is in a bid to make our results known before our work is finished that many people lose their integrity. You might feel that you are moving faster and making more progress but when faced with a sudden integrity check, everything can quickly come tumbling down.

The applause fizzles out really quickly when things do not go as 'planned'. The same people who were cheering you on even when they knew what you were doing will drop you fast like a hot iron. Do not mistake the applause and recognition of people to mean undying loyalty. When push comes to shove, the smell of the lack of integrity is exposed and it is ugly. People begin to avoid you like the plague and nothing you say or do with intergrity will be valued. That is a stain that is difficult to wash off if you really intend to have influence and make a difference.

We must learn to say what we mean and mean what we say. It might not be glamorous in the short scheme of things, but on the long run, it will give you a seat in places you never dreamed of. Even in a world where charlatans are celebrated there is still a place of honour for people of integrity and that is a good place to be. Never allow the achievements of others to make you want to cut corners so that you can compete with them. When you maintain your lane and you are true to your words, you end up attracting genuine success and influence to yourself.

La vitesse à laquelle les gens disent des choses qu'ils ne pensent pas est très alarmante. Nous lançons des mots à tort et à travers sans aucune intention de les tenir. La valeur des mots diminue de jour en jour. Soit les gens mentent ouvertement, soit ils exagèrent. Il est temps de vérifier toujours ce que l'on nous dit. Malheureusement, beaucoup commencent à considérer avec moins d'attention les cas de manque d'intégrité. Ils excusent ces actes en les qualifiant de « normaux ». Des vies et des entreprises ont été perdues à cause du manque d'intégrité, et certains continuent de banaliser des sujets aussi graves. Les preuves de paroles frivoles et de mensonges sont omniprésentes et la situation ne s'annonce pas bien.

Certains s'en tirent à bon compte le manque d'intégrité, et certains sont même célébrés. Ce n'est pas parce qu'une majorité de personnes agissent d'une manière particulière que cela est juste. Pour être une personne véritablement influente, il faut faire preuve d'une grande intégrité. Concrétiser le rêve peut prendre plus de temps, mais son impact sera certainement plus durable. Nul besoin de rechercher les applaudissements et la reconnaissance. Construisez en silence et vos résultats seront annoncés avant même d'être entendus. C'est en voulant faire connaître nos résultats avant la fin du travail que beaucoup perdent leur intégrité. Vous avez peut-être l'impression d'avancer plus vite et de progresser davantage, mais face à un contrôle d'intégrité soudain, tout peut s'écrouler rapidement.

Les applaudissements s'estompent très vite lorsque les choses ne se déroulent pas comme prévu. Ceux-là mêmes qui vous encourageaient, même s'ils savaient ce que vous faisiez, vous laisseront tomber comme un fer rouge. Ne confondez pas applaudissements et reconnaissance avec une loyauté indéfectible. Au moment opportun, le manque d'intégrité se fait sentir et c'est odieux. On commence à vous éviter comme la peste et rien de ce que vous dites ou faites avec intégrité ne sera valorisé. C'est une tache difficile à effacer si vous souhaitez réellement influencer et faire la différence.

Nous devons apprendre à dire ce que nous pensons et à penser ce que nous disons. Ce n'est peut-être pas très glamour à court terme, mais à long terme, cela vous permettra d'accéder à des postes dont vous n'auriez jamais rêvé. Même dans un monde où les charlatans sont célébrés, il y a toujours la place honorable pour des gens intègres, et c'est une bonne chose. Ne laissez jamais les réussites des autres vous inciter à faire des compromis pour rivaliser avec eux. En gardant le cap et en restant fidèle à vos paroles, vous finissez par attirer un véritable succès et une véritable influence.

IT SHOULD NOT BE A PILLAR, IT SHOULD JUST BE A SUPPORT. - CELA NE DEVRAIT PAS ÊTRE UN PILIER, CELA DEVRAIT JUSTE ÊTRE UN SUPPORT.

The cyclical nature of life means that there is continuous evolution and we must keep that in mind as we build our dream. The resources that we need to execute our vision will change from time to time. The undoing of many a visionary has been the unwillingness to change with the vicissitudes of the seasons. Things that were important to the vision at a point in time can become obstacles in another season. But because we have refused to change with the times, we become frustrated by something that initially gave us joy. There is nothing that should be given a permanent status in the execution of our vision. If it has outlived its usefulness, we must let it go.

There are people whose inputs were valuable to the vision in a certain season. The methods and ideas that they contributed helped us to take the vision from one level to the other. This does not make them pillars that cannot removed if we notice that their continuous involvement have become detrimental to the progress of the execution. Emotional attachments can be great hindrances to any visionary that puts emotions before reason. At the end of the day it is the visionary that will be held accountable for the success or failure of the vision. People are important to the realisation of any dream but if they are not properly handled, they can become stumbling blocks that will eventually derail the process. Every visionary must know where to draw the line regardless of who is involved if the really want to succeed.

Methods and strategies evolve. No visionary should be so tied to any process that they cannot adapt to change. That a particular strategy was very successful at a point does not mean that there will not be better ways of approaching things as the world evolves. We live in an era where things are evolving at a speed that we have not experienced before. 'This is how we used to do it' has cost many people their dream. We must be open to learning and changing with the times wherever and whenever necessary. It does not mean that we must follow every wind of change but we must put ourselves in a position where we are open to change.

When it comes to considering other options, we must not be foolish or prideful enough to hold on to what we should let go. It might not be easy at the time and it is usually not, but if we allow ourselves the liberty of accepting change it will be well worth the adjustment.

La nature cyclique de la vie implique une évolution continue, et nous devons garder cela à l'esprit lorsque nous construisons notre rêve. Les ressources nécessaires à la réalisation de notre vision changeront de temps à autre. La perte de nombreux visionnaires a résulté de leur refus de s'adapter aux aléas des saisons. Ce qui était important pour la vision à un moment donné peut devenir un obstacle à une autre saison. Mais parce que nous refusons d'évoluer avec le temps, nous sommes frustrés par ce qui nous procurait initialement de la joie. Rien ne devrait être permanent dans la réalisation de notre vision. Si elle a perdu son utilité, nous devons l'abandonner.

Certaines personnes ont apporté une contribution précieuse à la vision à un moment donné. Leurs méthodes et leurs idées nous ont aidés à la faire progresser. Cela ne signifie pas qu'elles soient des piliers indémontables si nous constatons que leur implication continue nuit à la progression de la réalisation. Les attachements émotionnels peuvent constituer de sérieux obstacles pour tout visionnaire qui privilégie les émotions à la raison. En fin de compte, c'est le visionnaire qui sera tenu responsable de la réussite ou de l'échec de sa vision. Les personnes sont essentielles à la réalisation de tout rêve, mais si elles ne sont pas correctement gérées, elles peuvent devenir des obstacles qui finissent par faire dérailler le processus. Tout visionnaire doit savoir où fixer les limites, quels que soient les acteurs impliqués, s'il veut réellement réussir.

Les méthodes et les stratégies évoluent. Aucun visionnaire ne devrait être lié à un processus au point de ne plus pouvoir s'adapter au changement. Le fait qu'une stratégie ait été couronnée de succès à un moment donné ne signifie pas qu'il n'existera pas de meilleures façons d'aborder les choses à mesure que le monde évolue. Nous vivons à une époque où les choses évoluent à une vitesse inédite. Le « on faisait comme avant » a coûté à beaucoup leur rêve. Nous devons être ouverts à l'apprentissage et à l'évolution, partout et à chaque fois que cela est nécessaire. Cela ne signifie pas que nous devons suivre tous les vents du changement, mais nous devons nous ouvrir au changement.

 Lorsqu'il s'agit d'envisager d'autres options, il ne faut pas être trop stupide ou orgueilleux pour s'accrocher à ce qu'il faudrait abandonner. Ce n'est peut-être pas facile sur le moment, et ce n'est généralement pas le cas, mais si nous nous donnons la liberté d'accepter le changement, l'adaptation en vaudra la peine.

YOU NEED TO GET THIS THING MOVING. - IL FAUT QUE TU FASSES BOUGER CE CHOSE.

No matter how long you talk about your vision and how clearly you articulate it, nobody can see exactly what you see and no one will be able to carry the burden you carry and have the degree of passion that you have for it. People want others to join them in a journey that they have not even started. Most of us make the mistake of thinking that if we articulate our vision clearly and passionately enough, people will jump on board and give us the support that we need. Dreams are not a public occurrence, they are personal. Don't think that because you all are confronted with the same challenge that you all share the same passion to find a solution.

The same thing that is giving you sleepless nights is not making any strong impression on your neighbour or friend. You may all be talking about it but it is not a priority for them. They may even be suggesting solutions but it all ends at that level of discussions. While it keeps bothering you, they move on to other things immediately they leave your presence. When you carry a burden for something, the onus is on you to do more than talk. You have to give legs to your voice. It is when people see what you are doing that they begin to consider what they can do. We have too many people talking about things that they do not have any intentions of doing something about.

Society is always full of people who 'know' about what is going on and what should be done. But only few really care about doing something. Most people are very good at pointing fingers at who should be doing what, they never put themselves in that equation. Why don't you think about what should be done since the people that you think should be doing something are not doing anything? People who know they could be part of the solution do not spend much time analysing what is wrong. They spend more time thinking about what they can do no matter how small that thing is. If talking alone could solve problems, many societies will be very developed by now.

It is not bad to talk about problems but it is much better to think about what you can do to be part of the solution. When you take steps to actualize your vision, people will see your efforts and those who are waiting for people to take the first initiative will gradually come on board. Start something no matter how small, it might just be writing down your ideas and going over them with some people, you never know how the dots will connect to bring about the actualisation of that vision. Do more than talk, you seriously need to take some steps before others can add what they can.

Peu importe combien de temps vous parlez de votre vision et avec quelle clarté vous l'exprimez, personne ne peut voir exactement ce que vous voyez et personne ne pourra porter le fardeau que vous portez ni éprouver la même passion que vous. Les gens veulent que d'autres les rejoignent dans un voyage qu'ils n'ont même pas commencé. La plupart d'entre nous commettent l'erreur de penser qu'en exprimant notre vision avec suffisamment de clarté et de passion, les gens nous suivront et nous apporteront le soutien dont nous avons besoin. Les rêves ne sont pas un événement public, ils sont personnels. Ne pensez pas que parce que vous êtes tous confrontés au même défi, vous partagez tous la même passion pour trouver une solution.

Ce qui vous empêche de dormir, ne pas faire forte impression auprès de votre voisin ou de votre ami. Vous en parlez peut-être tous, mais ce n'est pas une priorité pour eux. Ils peuvent même suggérer des solutions, mais tout s'arrête là, au niveau des discussions. Tant que cela vous tracasse, ils passent à autre chose dès qu'ils vous quittent. Lorsque vous portez un fardeau pour quelque chose, il vous incombe de faire plus que de simplement parler. Il faut donner du poids à votre voix. C'est lorsque les gens voient ce que vous faites qu'ils commencent à réfléchir à ce qu'ils peuvent faire. Trop de gens parlent de choses sans avoir l'intention d'agir.

La société est toujours peuplée de gens qui « savent » ce qui se passe et ce qu'il faut faire. Mais rares sont ceux qui se soucient vraiment d'agir. La plupart des gens sont très doués pour pointer du doigt qui devrait faire quoi, sans jamais se mettre dans l'équation. Pourquoi ne pas réfléchir à ce qu'il faudrait faire, puisque ceux que vous pensez devoir faire ne font rien ? Ceux qui savent qu'ils peuvent contribuer à la solution ne passent pas beaucoup de temps à analyser ce qui ne va pas. Ils passent plus de temps à réfléchir à ce qu'ils peuvent faire, aussi petit soit-il. Si parler seul pouvait résoudre les problèmes, de nombreuses sociétés seraient déjà très développées.

Parler des problèmes n'est pas une mauvaise chose, mais il est bien mieux de réfléchir à ce que l'on peut faire pour contribuer à la solution. Lorsque vous prenez des mesures pour concrétiser votre vision, vos efforts seront visibles et ceux qui attendent que d'autres prennent les devants adhéreront progressivement. Lancez-vous, même modeste, en écrivant vos idées et en les partageant avec quelques personnes. On ne sait jamais comment les liens se créeront pour concrétiser cette vision. Ne vous contentez pas de parler, vous devez absolument prendre des mesures avant que d'autres puissent apporter leur contribution.
