When the larger population is ignorant or is blatantly going in the wrong way, it can rub off on the informed minority who are most likely to start behaving like the former if care is not taken. Darkness is simply the absence of light, it has no real substance. We have to make up our minds never to allow ignorance and darkness continue around us, even if we are not in core advocacy, we can do something with those around us. It is much easier for light to dispel darkness, so do not hold back if it is in your capacity to do something about it. There is a cycle of good which can be interrupted by evil and a cycle of evil which can be interrupted by good, all we need to do is position ourselves to do the needful. It does not take a crowd to make a difference and change the tide, it can take just one determined and passionate person to stem the tide and change the flow. The major problem is that most times, that person is ignorant of the power of a spark or they may be too timid to light the match. It is never too late to do something about anything that has gone wrong, it might just take a longer time and more work but, anything can be fixed. If we understood the power that we have as individuals to intervene and fix things, we would complain less and do more. The power is the action that we take and not in the speeches that we give. Immediately, we can decide what it is that we can do to intervene and we start taking baby steps, things will get clearer and courage will begin to rise above the levels we have ever known we could reach. It is up to us to decide whether we want to be part of the solution or not because immediately that is settled, all else will begin to fall into place. Do have a great day!
AFRICA IS A CONTINENT ON THE MOVE AND HER YOUTHS ARE HER GREATEST RESOURCE."We cannot always build a future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future."Franklin D. Roosevelt. MentorAfrica looks to help youths, through various life transition mentoring topics, to prepare youths for development and leadership that will help them change the African narrative whenever the opportunity arises.
