OUR EDUCATION MUST DEVELOP US - NOTRE ÉDUCATION DOIT NOUS DÉVELOPPER

Education is to inform better about and guide one through what one has to do or become. If this information and guidance is focused on others or their environment, that education will appear irrelevant and cannot support or mismatch the needed development, like putting a square peg in a round hole.
"Development is self-made, outsiders can only help."
"Compete with yourself, collaborate with others."

Africa, are you there?

Learning to become the European-be-like is exciting viewed from the perspective of competition as in sports. Development vis-a-vis Globaville's natural resources however prefers collaboration rather. The African resources are waiting for their development in their own right.

He who has a good African and Global heart, dig the first planting hole in Africa!

This write-up re-echoes something we have discussed in some of our blog posts so when I saw this article on Google+, I asked for permission to share it. What is the purpose of education if it cannot help the community of the receiver? Why create a curriculum that will rather make the receivers more useful in a system that is foreign to their community? Are we educating Africans to empower them to collaborate or we are preparing them for the continuation of brain drain?

L'éducation c'est de mieux nous informer et de nous guider pour ce que nous devons faire ou devenir. Si ces informations et ces conseils sont concentrés sur les autres ou sur leur environnement, cette éducation ne paraîtra pas pertinente et ne pourra pas appuyer ou démêler le développement nécessaire, comme placer une cheville carrée dans un trou rond.

"Le développement est auto-fait, les étrangers ne peuvent aider."

"Faites le concours avec vous-même, collaborez avec les autres."

L'Afrique, êtes-vous là?

Apprendre à devenir un clone european est passionnant vu du point de vue de la concurrence comme dans le sport. Le développement vis-à-vis des ressources naturelles de Globaville préfère plutôt la collaboration. Les ressources africaines attendent leur développement par eux-mêmes.

Celui qui a un bon coeur africain et mondial, creuse le premier trou de plantation en Afrique!

Cette compte rendu fait écho à quelque chose que nous avons discuté dans certains de nos posts, alors quand j'ai vu cet article sur Google+, j'ai demandé l'autorisation de le partager. Quel est le but de l'éducation si elle n'a pas de valeur pour  la communauté du récepteur? Pourquoi créer un programme qui rendra plutôt les récepteurs plus utiles dans un système qui est étranger à leur communauté? Est-ce que nous éduquons les Africains pour leur permettre de collaborer ou nous les préparons à la poursuite de la fuite des cerveaux?

THE BURDEN OF CORRUPTION - LE FARDEAU DE LA CORRUPTION

We have used the word "corruption' in connection with politics and governance to the point that we seem to forget that it is synonymous with words like "dishonesty, manipulation, falsification, duplicity, misrepresentation"

I met a friend at an event last year and she was regretting falsifying her age not because she was wrong but because she was tired of working and she still had about two years to her false retirement age. I know someone who goes to a government office job only when there is some sort of staff verification or some special occasion. He doesn't even stay in the state where the office is located. These are among those who vehemently cry against corruption and one wonders what is going on. Anyway, that is thought for another day... 

People who live with corruption constantly carry a weight on their shoulders that can in some cases destroy their lives. There is always the fear of being found out. They have to always be ready with another lie to cover the original one. Some have false identity and other information to enable them cover their tracks. Why do you have to live life in such a way that you are constantly looking over your shoulders? Many are deceived by the outward "benefits" of corruption forgetting that they are fleeting and there is always are price tag. Life is easier, more interesting and more productive if one decides to do things the right way. The same energy and hard work you put into scheming corrupt practices could be put to honest use for a better life for you and society in general. Have a great day!

Nous avons utilisé le mot «corruption» dans le domaine de la politique et la gouvernance jusqu'au point que nous semblons oublier qu'il est synonyme de mots comme «malhonnêteté, manipulation, falsification, duplicité, fausse représentation»

J'ai rencontré une amie lors d'un événement l'année dernière et elle regrettait le fait qu'elle a falsifié son âge non pas parce qu'elle pensait qu'elle avait tort, mais parce qu'elle était fatiguée de travailler et elle avait encore environ deux ans de son faux âge de la retraite. Je connais quelqu'un qui travail dans un poste de bureau du gouvernement  mais qu'il y présent seulement quand il ya une sorte de vérification du personnel ou une occasion spéciale. Il n'habite même pas dans l'état où se situe le bureau. Ceux-ci sont parmi ceux qui crient avec véhémence contre la corruption et on se demande ce qui se passe. Quoi qu'il en soit, c'est une pensée pour un autre jour ...

Les gens qui vivent avec la corruption portent constamment un poids sur leurs épaules qui peuvent dans certains cas détruire leur vie. Il ya toujours la crainte d'être découvert. Ils doivent toujours être prêts avec un autre mensonge pour couvrir l'original. Certains ont une fausse identité et d'autres informations pour leur permettre de couvrir leurs pistes. Pourquoi avez-vous choisi de vivre la vie d'une telle manière que vous regardez constamment sur vos épaules? Beaucoup sont trompés par les «bienfaits» extérieurs de la corruption oubliant qu'ils sont fugaces et il ya toujours un prix à payer. La vie est plus facile, plus intéressante et plus productive si on décide de faire les choses de la bonne manière. La même énergie et le travail dur que vous mettez dans les manigances pour les activités corrompues pourraient être utilisés pour des intentions honnêtes pour améliorer votre vie et la société en général. Passez une bonne journée!

READY TO WEAR - PRÊT À PORTER

I have gradually begun to enjoy something that I never ever imagined I would in my wildest dreams; farming or should I say gardening. It was something I dabbled into in my new location but I discovered how happy I got each time I saw the results of my "hard work", this has made me appreciate the process food has to go through before arriving at my table. Getting something from a supermarket that takes little effort to prepare is much easier but just having one of the ingredients from my farm makes it much more fun. Process is mostly painstaking but success is sweeter when you look back and see how you got there. However, many avoid the process, they would rather cut corners to arrive at mediocre results or depend on others in order to enjoy life through their efforts. It is for this reason that the ready to wear market is a huge success. Many in Africa have this ready to wear mentality; theirs is to enjoy what others have accomplished. They are satisfied to put their talents to use to help others achieve their dreams; it is easier than going through the process of accomplishing their own success. With all the rich natural resources in Africa, we would rather train to work for those who are ready to turn the raw materials into end products for our consumption than go through the hassle of production. This is not just at government levels, Africans would rather consume than produce. There are no shortcuts to success; you either roll up your sleeves or eat the crumbs of others.

J'ai  commencé peu à peu à prendre plaisir de quelque chose que je n'aurais jamais imaginé dans mes rêves les plus fous; l'agriculture ou devrais-je dire jardinage. C'était quelque chose dont je me suis intéressé dans mon nouvel environnement, mais j'ai découvert combien je suis heureux chaque fois que je vois les résultats de mon «travail dur», cela me fait apprécier le processus que la nourriture doit passer avant d'arriver à ma table. Obtenir quelque chose d'un supermarché qui prend peu d'efforts pour préparer est beaucoup plus facile, mais juste avoir un des ingrédients de ma ferme, il est beaucoup plus amusant. Processus est surtout laborieux mais le succès est plus excitant quand vous regardez en arrière et voir comment vous êtes y arrivé. Cependant, beaucoup évitent le processus, ils préfèrent couper les coins pour arriver à des résultats médiocres ou dépendre des autres afin de profiter de la vie à travers leurs efforts. C'est pour cette raison que le marché prêt à porter est un énorme succès. Beaucoup en Afrique ont cette mentalité prête à porter; Le leur est de profiter de ce que les autres ont accompli. Ils sont satisfaits de mettre leurs talents à travailler pour aider les autres à réaliser leurs rêves; c'est plus facile que de passer par le processus d'accomplissement de leur propre succès. Avec toutes les ressources naturelles riches en Afrique, nous préférerions nous former afin de travailler pour ceux qui sont prêts à transformer les matières premières en produits finis pour notre consommation que de passer par les tracas de production. Ce n'est pas seulement au niveau gouvernemental, les Africains préfèrent consommer que produire. Il n'y a pas de raccourcis vers le succès; vous roulez les manches ou mangez les miettes des autres.
