BOTH SIDES OF THE SHEET - LES DEUX CÔTÉS DU BILAN

Everywhere you look these days, there are signs of the year coming to an end. The weather is changing, sales are happening everywhere we look, end of year events are being organised by various organisations and so on. Apart from the festive mood in many regions of the world, most corporations are preparing to take stock of the outgoing year. The is something about coming to the end of the calendar year that makes everything take on a new meaning. Many of us start the new year with high expectations and the end of the year affords us an opportunity to take stock of our personal lives. It can be a bit discouraging at times when we look at the score sheet but it can also be a high point of celebration for many. In fact, this evaluation is something that creeps into our space almost subconsciously. As the year draws to an end people beginto evaluate what the year has meant to them. Many of us just focus on the debit side of the balance sheet without paying much attention to the credit side. There is no sheet without both columns but the one you decide to magnify will determine how you live out the remaining days of the year. For me, life is more about things that I can be thankful for and they do not necessarily have to be things many consider success or achievements. Being in the frame of mind to still be able to add value to situations and people without allowing personal challenges to deprive me of this service is something I am eternally grateful for. It is the beginning of another week, make the best of it and end the year in high spirits. Enjoy a great week!

Partout où vous regardez ces jours-ci, il y a des signes de fin d'année. Le temps change, les ventes se font partout, les événements de fin d’année sont organisés par diverses organisations, etc. Outre l'ambiance festive qui règne dans de nombreuses régions du monde, la plupart des entreprises se préparent à faire l'inventaire de l'année qui passe. Il s’agit là d’arriver à la fin de l’année civile pour que tout prenne un nouveau sens. Nous sommes nombreux à commencer la nouvelle année avec de grandes attentes et la fin de l'année nous offre l'occasion de faire l'inventaire de nos vies personnelles. Lorsque nous regardons le bilan, cela peut être un peu décourageant parfois, mais cela peut également être un moment de fête pour beaucoup. En fait, cette évaluation est quelque chose qui pénètre dans notre espace presque inconsciemment. À la fin de l’année, les gens commencent à évaluer ce que l’année a signifié pour eux. Beaucoup d'entre nous se concentrent uniquement sur le côté débit du bilan sans accorder beaucoup d'attention au côté crédit. Il n'y a pas de bilan sans les deux colonnes, mais celle que vous décidez d'agrandir déterminera votre façon de vivre les jours qui restent de l'année. Pour moi, la vie s'agit de plus des choses dont je peux être reconnaissant et que beaucoup ne considèrent pas nécessairement comme  du succès ou de grande réussite. Je suis éternellement reconnaissant de pouvoir continuer à ajouter de la valeur à des situations et à des personnes sans permettre à des défis personnels de me priver de ce service. C’est le début d’une autre semaine, en tirer le meilleur parti et terminer l’année de bonne humeur. Profitez d'une bonne semaine!
