The most common mistake people make when they go into
partnerships is the fact that they do not define their parameters. People just
assume that things will go in the direction they want them to go without defining
exactly what they expect from the partnership. Apart from understanding one
another’s vision, each partner must understand the amount of space they need in
which to carry out their designated functions. When they allow functions to
overlap it can result in friction that could disturb the relationship. Care must
be taken especially when one of the partners outweighs the other in their
contributions so that it does not become a master servant partnership. The one
with more weight should realize that without the input of the “lesser” things
can become messy. The importance of each other’s contributions should be the
driving force of this relationship. Whatever the kind of partnership, whether it so social, economic,
political or whatever else; the relationship will progress only when partners
know their lines and stay within them.
AFRICA IS A CONTINENT ON THE MOVE AND HER YOUTHS ARE HER GREATEST RESOURCE."We cannot always build a future for our youth, but we can always build our youth for the future."Franklin D. Roosevelt. MentorAfrica looks to help youths, through various life transition mentoring topics, to prepare youths for development and leadership that will help them change the African narrative whenever the opportunity arises.
