YOUR RESOLVE WILL BE TESTED. - VOTRE RÉSOLUTION SERA TESTÉE.

I have a feeling that it is more difficult to stay focused these days than it has ever been in human history. There is so much going on and there are so many platforms to keep you abreast of what is going on. One has to constantly make a conscious effort to block out a lot of the information flying around if one wants to be mentally stable. Many people wobble not because they do not know what they want but they do because there is too much going on and they are second guessing themselves all the time, every step of the way. You cannot do anything concrete if you are wobbling mentally. Some people are never certain about anything, all they do is look for anything that is trending so they can jump into that wagon. The bandwagon effect has never been this strong or popular and it has people flip-flopping all over the place trying to figure out what to do with their lives in order to be accepted. Many are so unsure of themselves that they cannot hold unto anything for any period of time without considering the option of quitting, trying something new or completely giving up. They throw the ball and immediately the defence steps in to try and stop them, they give up on tackling the opponent. They immediately shift their focus from catching the ball and going for a touchdown to trying to avoid the tackles from the opponent. A lot of people just seek the path of least resistance where the crowd effect is much stronger. Cheap popularity trumps excellence, people just want to be accepted. Truth be told, success is for the mentally strong and you cannot achieve mental strength by following the crowd. Strength is developed in isolation and obscurity where the hard work is done before the results are presented to the public. Every public display of excellence is birth by very long periods of isolation behind the scenes because that is where mental strength and stability are developed. Only those who are mentally stable will create change. Change is tough and life will test you to your very limits to see if change is what you really want. Those who broadcast change without developing mental strength will soon fade to the background because they cannot withstand the pressure from the opposition to change. You have to be totally sure of where you are going before you start because life will test your resolve with so many obstacles in your path to try to stop you. For most of us in Africa where life is a daily struggle of survival, it is a tall order to stay with something that does not yield immediate reward, so we follow the crowd very easily. The path to change has to be chosen without putting reward as the main thing. You have to want change because of the growth it will produce not because of the material reward you will get. Be honest with yourself and understand what you really want before you embark on your journey. Do have a great day!

J'ai l'impression qu'il est plus difficile de se concentrer ces jours-ci qu'il ne l'a jamais été dans l'histoire humaine. Il se passe tellement de choses et il y a tellement de plateformes pour vous tenir au courant de ce qui se passe. Il faut constamment faire un effort conscient pour bloquer une grande partie des informations qui circulent si l'on veut être mentalement stable. Beaucoup de gens vacillent non pas parce qu'ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils veulent, mais ils le font parce qu'il y a trop de choses en cours et ils se devinent tout le temps, à chaque étape du chemin. Vous ne pouvez rien faire de concret si vous vacillez mentalement. Certaines personnes ne sont jamais sûres de rien, tout ce qu'elles font, c'est chercher tout ce qui est en tendance et sautent dans ce wagon. L'effet de mouvement n'a jamais été aussi fort ou populaire et il fait basculer les gens partout pour essayer de comprendre quoi faire de leur vie pour être accepté. Beaucoup sont si peu sûrs d'eux-mêmes qu'ils ne peuvent rien retenir pendant une période de temps sans envisager l'option d'arrêter, d'essayer quelque chose de nouveau ou d'abandonner complètement. Ils lancent le ballon et immédiatement la défense intervient pour tenter de les arrêter, ils renoncent à tacler l'adversaire. Ils déplacent immédiatement leur concentration d'attraper le ballon et d'aller chercher un touché à essayer d'éviter les plaqués de l'adversaire. Beaucoup de gens cherchent simplement le chemin de la moindre résistance où l'effet de foule est beaucoup plus fort. La popularité bon marché l'emporte sur l'excellence, les gens veulent juste être acceptés. À vrai dire, le succès est pour ceux qui sont forts mentalement et vous ne pouvez pas atteindre la force mentale en suivant la foule. La force se développe dans l'isolement et l'obscurité où le travail acharné est fait avant que les résultats ne soient présentés au public. Chaque manifestation publique d'excellence naît par de très longues périodes d'isolement dans les coulisses, car c'est là que la force mentale et la stabilité se développent. Seuls ceux qui sont mentalement stables créeront des changements. Le changement est difficile et la vie vous mettra à l'épreuve pour voir si le changement est ce que vous voulez vraiment. Ceux qui diffusent le changement sans développer leur force mentale disparaîtront bientôt à l'arrière-plan parce qu'ils ne peuvent pas résister à la pression de l'opposition pour changer. Vous devez être totalement sûr de l'endroit où vous allez avant de commencer, car la vie mettra à l'épreuve votre détermination avec tant d'obstacles sur votre chemin pour essayer de vous arrêter. Pour la plupart d'entre nous en Afrique où la vie est une lutte quotidienne pour la survie, c'est un défi de rester avec quelque chose qui ne rapporte pas immédiatement, nous suivons donc la foule très facilement. La voie du changement doit être choisie sans mettre la récompense au premier plan. Vous devez vouloir le changement à cause de la croissance qu'il produira et non à cause de la récompense matérielle que vous obtiendrez. Soyez honnête avec vous-même et comprenez ce que vous voulez vraiment avant de vous lancer dans votre voyage. Passez une bonne journée!

DON'T SEEK GREATNESS, JUST ADD VALUE. - NE CHERCHEZ PAS LA GRANDEUR, AJOUTEZ SIMPLEMENT DE LA VALEUR.

The world needs everybody’s contribution in one way or another. No contribution is insignificant, it might not be significant to a large percentage of people but it always has its value in the human supply chain. It is for this reason that I believe it is in place to have us bombarded each day by calls to make our lives count by pursuing our dreams. This in itself is not a bad thing, but what is most concerning is that many do not understanding exactly what is driving them. Have you ever taken the time to really understand the reason for which you are pursuing what you consider your dream?  As I interact with people, I have discovered that many of us are pursuing our dreams for these major reasons; money, name, legacy or making a difference. Unfortunately, they are almost always in that order but we try to deceive ourselves that we are primarily passionate about making a difference. It is more fashionable and more “honourable” to be named among those who are trying to make a difference so, many want to make believe that their goal is worth the pursuit. Why this is unfortunate is the fact that when we lie to ourselves long enough we begin to believe the lie. This is the reason, especially in our developing continent, that the effect of our pursuit is not felt. There is so much movement with little impact and progress to show for all the pursuit. There is nothing wrong with your name being known because of the impact you are making but there is definitely something wrong with focusing on making a name for yourself. That kind of selfish ambition cannot run with a selfless cause like making a change in the life of others and helping the society to grow. On the other hand, a selfless cause which seeks to improve others and life in general, will result in your name being known. Do not seek greatness, just seek to add value and you will be surprised at how much difference you will make and how many people will want to associated with you or how "popular" you will become. Do not major on the minor and expect to make a lasting difference and leaving a legacy. Do have a great day! Le monde a besoin de la contribution de chacun d’une manière ou d’une autre. Aucune contribution n'est insignifiante, elle peut ne pas être importante pour un grand pourcentage de personnes, mais elle a toujours sa valeur dans la chaîne d'approvisionnement humaine. C'est pour cette raison que je pense qu'il est en place de nous faire bombarder chaque jour par des appels pour que notre vie compte en poursuivant nos rêves. Cela n'est pas en soi une mauvaise chose, mais ce qui est le plus préoccupant, c'est que beaucoup ne comprennent pas exactement ce qui les motive. Avez-vous déjà pris le temps de vraiment comprendre la raison pour laquelle vous poursuivez ce que vous considérez comme votre rêve? En interagissant avec les gens, j'ai découvert que beaucoup d'entre nous poursuivaient nos rêves pour ces raisons principales; argent, nom, héritage ou faire une différence. Malheureusement, ils sont presque toujours dans cet ordre, mais nous essayons de nous tromper que nous sommes avant tout passionnés par comment faire la différence. Il est plus à la mode et plus «honorable» d'être nommé parmi ceux qui essaient de faire une différence, alors beaucoup veulent faire croire que leur objectif vaut la peine d'être poursuivi. Ce qui est regrettable, c'est que lorsque nous nous mentons suffisamment longtemps, nous commençons à croire le mensonge. C'est la raison, en particulier dans notre continent en développement, que l'effet de notre poursuite ne se fait pas sentir. Il y a tellement de mouvement avec peu d'impact et de progrès à montrer pour toute la poursuite. Il n'y a rien de mal à ce que votre nom soit connu en raison de l'impact que vous faites, mais il y a certainement quelque chose de mal en se concentrant sur la création d'un nom pour vous-même. Ce genre d'ambition égoïste ne peut pas aller de pair avec une cause désintéressée comme faire un changement dans la vie des autres et aider la société à grandir. D'un autre côté, une cause désintéressée qui cherche à améliorer les autres et la vie en général, fera connaître votre nom. Ne cherchez pas la grandeur, cherchez simplement à ajouter de la valeur et vous serez surpris de voir combien de différence vous ferez et combien de personnes voudront associer avec vous ou à quel point vous serez "populaire". Ne vous concentrez pas sur le mineur et attendez-vous à faire une différence durable et à laisser un héritage. Passez une bonne journée! IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU CHOOSE TO SEE. - CELA DÉPEND DE CE QUE VOUS CHOISISSEZ DE VOIR.

Every day opens with new opportunities but very few have the presence of mind to harness them. Life can be quite complicated because of our inability to shake off experiences that have become baggage that weigh us down and steal opportunities from us. Most times, it takes all the courage one can muster to face what life throws at us each day. All around us are people loaded with what it takes to succeed in life but who are so bugged down by inevitable challenges that have to be overcome in order for them to have life as we desire it. It is very distressing to see people who have remarkable talents just drift through life because they are waiting on life to give them what they already have. Like caged animals they wait for life to prepare stuff for them to eat inside the cage and whatever they are given is what they feed on. All they do is watch time go by without any real intentions of working out what each day has to offer. It is not that they do not know what they want, but most times, they just allow the day to run them rather than them running it. Life for them is a waiting game and however it plays out is how it was meant to be. Life gives each one of us the basic ingredients with which we can live a successful life. Many take the ingredients and become a success while others do not pay much attention to the ingredients because they are waiting for life to give them ready-made food while they sit in one place and idle by. It seems like most people just drift with the waves of the sea and allow themselves to be taken in whatever direction they are going without any particular destination in mind. If you refuse to use what life has offered you to produce the kind of life that will impact and improve your existence and that of those around you, don't blame anyone, just look in the mirror and blame the person you see there. We all have the same amount of time allotted to us, we have things in our environment that we could use to accomplish something worthy but, we probably do not understand how life works enough for us to take advantage of the raw materials we are offered. Do you recognise and research how you can be resourceful with the provisions that life has made for you or you are watching others doing their thing while you either envy or criticise them? An honest question is the beginning of change for those who want to make progress. Be honest enough to look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself the plain truth. If you are able to do this, you will be surprised at how your perception to life will change. Anyone who can be truthful with themselves will find it easier to have conversations with others that can bring a radical change to their life. The successful person you are wishing to be like probably did not have more from life than you do, they just saw what they had from a different light. It is never too late to change your perspective and become successful in life. Do have a lovely day!

Chaque jour s'ouvre sur de nouvelles opportunités mais très peu ont la présence d'esprit pour les exploiter. La vie peut être assez compliquée en raison de notre incapacité à se débarrasser d'expériences qui sont devenues des bagages qui nous alourdissent et nous volent des opportunités. La plupart du temps, il faut tout le courage nécessaire pour affronter ce que la vie nous jette chaque jour. Tout autour de nous, il y a des gens chargés de ce qu'il faut pour réussir dans la vie, mais qui sont tellement embêtés par des défis inévitables que devons surmonter pour que ayions la vie comme nous le désirons. C'est très pénible de voir des gens qui ont des talents remarquables dériver à travers la vie parce qu'ils attendent que la vie leur donne ce qu'ils ont déjà. Comme les animaux en cage, ils attendent la vie pour préparer des choses à manger et tout ce qui leur est donné est ce dont ils se nourrissent. Tout ce qu'ils font, c'est regarder le temps passer sans vraiment l'intention de déterminer ce que chaque jour a à offrir. Ce n'est pas qu'ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils veulent, mais la plupart du temps, ils laissent la journée s'exécuter plutôt que de l'exécuter. La vie pour eux est un jeu d'attente, et ils prennent comment cela se passe comme prévu. La vie donne à chacun de nous les ingrédients de base avec lesquels nous pouvons vivre une vie réussie. Beaucoup prennent les ingrédients et deviennent un succès tandis que d'autres n'y prêtent pas beaucoup attention car ils attendent que la vie leur donne des aliments prêts à manger pendant qu'ils sont assis au même endroit et au ralenti. Il semble que la plupart des gens dérivent simplement avec les vagues de la mer et se laissent entraîner dans la direction dans laquelle ils vont sans aucune destination particulière en tête. Si vous refusez d'utiliser ce que la vie vous a offert pour produire le genre de vie qui aura un impact et améliorera votre existence et celle de ceux qui vous entourent, ne blâmez personne, regardez-vous dans le miroir et blâmez la personne que vous voyez là-bas. Nous avons tous le même temps qui nous est alloué, nous avons des choses dans notre environnement que nous pourrions utiliser pour accomplir quelque chose de digne mais, nous ne comprenons probablement pas comment la vie fonctionne suffisamment pour que nous puissions profiter des matières premières qui nous sont offertes. Reconnaissez-vous et recherchez-vous comment vous pouvez être ingénieux avec les dispositions que la vie a faites pour vous ou vous regardez les autres faire leur truc pendant que vous les envie ou les critiquez? Une question honnête est le début du changement pour ceux qui veulent progresser. Soyez assez honnête pour vous regarder dans le miroir et vous dire la vérité. Si vous êtes en mesure de le faire, vous serez surpris de voir comment votre perception de la vie va changer. Quiconque peut être honnête avec lui-même trouvera plus facile d'avoir des conversations avec les autres qui peuvent apporter un changement radical à sa vie. La personne qui réussit que vous souhaitez ressembler n'avait probablement pas plus de choses que vous dans la vie, elle a juste vu ce qu'elle avait sous un jour différent. Il n'est jamais trop tard pour changer de perspective et réussir dans la vie. Passez une belle journée!
