Talking about the future of Africa can be quite exhausting because most of us have completely lost hope and are not interested. I do not blame anyone who is weary about arguments, criticisms and analysis. Words fail to express the situation in Africa and what her citizens are feeling about the present harsh realities. There are so many possibilities and opportunities yet nothing seems to be going on. Africans are turned towards the outside to live the good life, foreigners are looking to Africa to enrich themselves. In between these two groups is the group of corrupt leaders and their cohorts who are milking the continent with the help of even predators from around the world. Some of us are "foolish" enough to believe something can still be done to remedy the situation. We also have the human resources, all we need to do is harness the rich talents that are found here. For me, even if one can not do much, one can do a little with a lot of passion and see what happens from there. Joseph's place Mentoring Africa wishes to help youths between the ages of 14-30 who are willing to explore life, discover who they are and what they can offer society to improve human life. Discutez l'avenir de l'Afrique peut être assez épuisant parce que la plupart d'entre nous ont complètement perdu l'espoir et ne sont plus intéressés. Je ne reproche personne qui se lasse des arguments, des critiques et des analyses. Les mots ne parviennent pas à exprimer la situation en Afrique et ce que ses citoyens ressentent de la dure réalité actuelle. Il ya tant de possibilités et d'opportunités, mais rien ne semble se passer. Les Africains sont tournés vers l'extérieur pour vivre la bonne vie, les étrangers cherchent dans l'Afrique pour s'enrichir. Entre ces deux groupes c'est le groupe de dirigeants corrompus et leurs cohortes qui dépouillent le continent avec l'aide même des prédateurs partout dans le monde. Certains d'entre nous sont «assez fous» pour croire que quelque chose peut encore être fait pour remédier la situation. Nous avons également les ressources humaines, tout ce que nous avons à faire est d'exploiter les riches talents qui se trouvent ici. Pour moi, même si on ne peut pas faire beaucoup, on peut faire un peu avec beaucoup de passion et voir ce qui peut en provenir. Joseph's Place Mentoring Africa souhaite aider les jeunes âgés de 14 à 30 ans qui sont prêts à explorer la vie, à découvrir qui ils sont et ce qu'ils peuvent offrir à la société pour améliorer l'humanité. WE NEED TO COME OUT - IL FAUT NOUS EN SORTIR

 L'Afrique est sous perfusion car souffrant d'une maladie chronique : le sous développement. Un remède pour sa rémission un cocktail curatif : opérer un changement de paradigme pour un réarmement moral (bonne gouvernance et exemplarité pour nos dirigeants et une conscience citoyenne pour la société civile) création de valeur pour faire muter nos économies et les faire rentrer dans des cercles vertueux pour le bien être de toute la population et pas seulement une infime partie de privilégiés. - Cecile Thiakane

Le projet de décrocher l'Afrique de "soutien à la vie" comme nous l'avons discuté dans un post précédent http://mentoringafrica.blogspot.com/2017/01/heartbeat-of-our-land-battement-du.html?spref=tw  est une tâche qui doit être entrepris par tous ceux qui osent croire en une Afrique avec un avenir développé et stable. C'est une possibilité très irréaliste que certains croient même ne se produira jamais. Le cocktail curatif que ma chère amie et compatriote a décrit ci-dessus est quelque chose que nous pouvons tous exploiter si nous le désirons. Un changement de paradigme est indispensable à un mouvement vers l'avant de l'Afrique. Ceux qui croient en la possibilité d'une Afrique développée doivent continuer à parler et à proposer des solutions en utilisant n'importe quel moyen qu'ils ont jusqu'à ce que d'autres commencent à voir ce qu'ils voient. Nous ne pouvons pas permettre aux futur générations de continuer dans cette «folie» Jusqu'à ce que nous voyons la nécessité de construire un continent dynamique nous continuerons à vivre avec une mentalité défaitiste et nous aurons peu ou meme aucun progrès. Cela signifie que nous permettrons aux jeunes de continuer à penser que la seule voie à suivre est la corruption et le sous-développement. Nous allons continuer à parler et pour moi ce n'est pas une «critique lancinante» de ce qui se passe en Afrique, mais plutôt parler de la façon de forger une voie à suivre. Passe un bon weekend!

The business of taking Africa out of "life support" like we discussed in a previous post http://mentoringafrica.blogspot.com/2017/01/heartbeat-of-our-land-battement-du.html?spref=tw is a task that must be done by all those who dare to believe in an Africa with a developed and stable future. This is a very far-fetched possibility that some even believe will never happen. The redemptive cocktail that my dear friend and fellow compatriot has outlined above is something we can all work towards if we so desire. A paradigm shift is indispensable to a forward movement of Africa. Those who believe in the possibility of a developed Africa must continue to speak up and proffer solutions using whatever medium they have until others begin to see what they see. We cannot allow the upcoming generations to continue in this "foolishness" Until we see the need to build a vibrant continent we will continue to live with a defeatist mentality and make little or no progress. What this means is that we will allow the youths continue to think that the only way forward is corruption and underdevelopment. We will keep speaking and for me that is not a "nagging criticism" of what is going on in Africa but rather talking about how to forge a way forward. Enjoy your weekend!

CAN YOU SEE IT? - POUVEZ-VOUS LE VOIR?

Sight is one of the very important features we need to progress as we pursue our vision in life. This means that until you can see or visualise something, you cannot pursue it successfully and accomplish it. The mental picture you create helps you to plan and accomplish a project. Until you can imagine it, you cannot achieve it. We can plan, discuss and work as much as we can, if we have no mental picture that drives us on, we will quit immediately we are confronted by challenges. Many who look for excuses at every turn do not have a strong image of what they want to accomplish. Most Africans do not have a picture of a developed Africa so, no matter how patriotic they want to be, they quit even before they can contribute anything to her growth. We can criticise and analyse because of the present picture of the continent but we cannot conceive a mental picture of a future Africa that is stable and progressive. We will be deceiving ourselves if we think it is an easy picture to paint because we have to see through the debris of slavery, colonisation, bad governance, corruption, poverty etc. This is quite a tough call but it is not an impossible call. WE MUST START BY CREATING AN IMAGE OF THE AFRICA WE DESIRE. Enjoy your day!

La vue est l'une des caractéristiques très importantes dont nous avons besoin pour progresser à mesure que nous poursuivons notre vision dans la vie. L'image mentale que vous créez vous aide à planifier et à réaliser un projet. Jusqu'à ce que vous puissiez l'imaginer, vous ne pouvez pas l'atteindre. Nous pouvons planifier, discuter et travailler autant que nous le pouvons, si nous n'avons pas une image mentale qui nous pousse, nous quitterons immédiatement quand nous sommes confrontés par des défis. Beaucoup de ceux qui cherchent des excuses à chaque tour n'ont pas une image forte de ce qu'ils veulent accomplir. La plupart des Africains n'ont pas l'image d'une Afrique développée, donc, peu importe comment patriotique qu'ils veulent être, ils quittent avant même qu'ils puissent contribuer à sa croissance. Nous pouvons critiquer et analyser en raison de l'image actuelle du continent, mais nous ne pouvons concevoir une image mentale d'une Afrique future stable et progressive. Nous nous tromperons si nous pensons que c'est une image facile à peindre parce que nous devons voir à travers les débris de l'esclavage, la colonisation, la mauvaise gouvernance, la corruption, la pauvreté, etc C'est un appel assez difficile, mais ce n'est pas un appel impossible. NOUS DEVONS COMMENCER EN CRÉANT UNE IMAGE DE L'AFRIQUE QUE NOUS DÉSIRONS. Bonne journée!

Most times, I feel that the pulse of Africa is low and at times even non-existent. It looks like we are constantly on "life support" and would stop to breathe immediately this is taken off. All our organs are failing; culture, education, economy, politics... We need to start working to bring up the "pulse rate" so that the next generation can pick it up and start doing things that will help the continent return to a healthy heartbeat. We need to start listening to learn not criticize or simply copy. There are no one-size-fits all solutions to national or personal problems; we need take knowledge, adapt it and create our own solutions. It is time for us to understand that we cannot continue to be on "life support",we have enough "oxygen" in this continent to survive if we are bold enough to take off the support.

La plupart du temps, je sens que le pouls de l'Afrique est faible et parfois même inexistant. On dirait que nous sommes constamment sur le «soutien de la vie» et arrêterait de respirer immédiatement si cela est retiré. Tous nos organes sont faibles; La culture, l'éducation, l'économie, la politique ... Nous devons commencer à travailler afin d'élever le «pouls» afin que la prochaine génération puisse le faire remonter et commencer à faire des choses qui aideront le continent à retrouver un rythme cardiaque sain. Nous devons commencer à écouter pour apprendre et non pour critiquer ou pour simplement copier. Il n'existe pas de solution unique aux problèmes nationaux ou personnels; Nous devons obtenir la connaissance, l'adapter et créer nos propres solutions. Il est temps pour nous de comprendre que nous ne pouvons pas continuer à être sur le «soutien de la vie», nous avons assez «oxygène» dans ce continent pour survivre si nous sommes assez audacieux pour enlever le soutien.
