No matter how much I want to sell a product to you, you are not going to buy it if you are not convinced that you really need or deserve it. I do not dispute the common saying that a good salesman can sell a boat to someone in the desert. But I do not believe that even a salesman that good cannot sell anything to someone who has boxed themselves into a certain perspective. Wait until you see those who have completely bought an opinion that has been sold to them to the point where everything in their purview is coloured by it. There are people who only some experience in life can forcefully make the scales that are blurring their view to fall off. Cultural architecture is so fundamental to how we see ourselves that it is almost impossible to make an impact with our lives without hammering down walls that are obstructing our view of life. There is no one that cannot change their cultural architecture but how many are ready to take on such a gargantuan task? With every stroke from the hammer there are thousands of others telling you not to waste your time and to accept easily available alternatives that can help you live a “normal” life. However, that is really the crux of the matter because without the ability to build what you have gifts and talent to build, whatever else you build will just be mediocre. Living your life above “normal” is not for the fainthearted. The decision to go with the flow is very easy to make as opposed to that of desiring and deciding to live a life of excellence and influence. Your piece of property in the any cultural architectural landscape should stand out in any environment to be a pointer to those who are coming behind who wish to build something out of the ordinary. The first stop is to decide and stay with that decision. Take a look at what you are building and see if that is the legacy you actually want to leave with your life.
