Everyone wants to be great whether we want to admit it or not. Nobody pursues any goal without wanting to be great at what they do. Even for those who are just joining the bandwagon for the sake of it (that's what they seem to think), want to have what others have. Even mediocres want a piece of the pie. Greatness is a primary desire for any normal human being. Those who push the theory that some are born great either want to absorb themselves of the responsibility of hard work or they want to speak more highly of themselves in order to intimidate other people.
Hard work is the bedrock of greatness. Even those who want to achieve greatness through fraudulent methods still work hard to on the processes to get there. That they have chosen to be fraudulent does not mean that the road will be easy. That is the reason why it is difficult to understand why anyone one will choose that route. We are all born with the ability to be great but saying that some are born great is pushing that concept to the limits.
Everyone starts small even if we are standing on the shoulders of rich heritage or other associations that can give us some leverage. Stories abound of people with such advantages that ended up as nonentities. They squandered all the available opportunities without achieving anything significant. The preceeding generation refused to pass down the ethics of hard work that got them to greatness to the next generation. All that they knew to do was waste resources that they did not work for.
Every tree is started by a seed irrespective of the species. That seed has to deal with all the opposition of the soil and other environmental issues to become a tree. That seed of greatness is in every one of us and we must each confront and conquer opposing circumstances in order to reach our full potential. The mistake a lot of people make is that as orange seeds they want to grow into oak trees. This becomes so frustrating that they quit and never reach their full maturity.
That seed of greatness in you must be studied, understood and appreciated before it can be nurtured into greatness. When we appreciate the nature of our seed, it will be easier to give it all the attention and go through all the inconvenience of hard work that it requires to become a full grown, fruit bearing tree. There is no shortcut to greatness. The road of hard work can never be circumvented by anyone who desires to be great.

Tout le monde veut être grand, que nous admettons ou non. Personne ne poursuit un objectif sans vouloir être grand dans ce qu’il fait. Même ceux qui se joignent au mouvement pour le plaisir (c’est ce qu’ils semblent penser) veulent avoir ce que les autres ont. Même les médiocres veulent une part du gâteau. La grandeur est un désir primordial pour tout être humain normal. Ceux qui poussent la théorie selon laquelle certains sont nés grands veulent soit s’abstenir de la responsabilité du travail acharné, soit ils veulent parler plus haut d’eux-mêmes afin d’intimider les autres.
Le travail acharné est le fondement de la grandeur. Même ceux qui veulent atteindre la grandeur par des méthodes frauduleuses travaillent toujours dur pour y parvenir. Le fait qu’ils aient choisi d’être frauduleux ne signifie pas que la route sera facile. C’est la raison pour laquelle il est difficile de comprendre pourquoi quelqu’un choisira cette voie. Nous sommes tous nés avec la capacité de devenir grands, mais dire que certains sont nés grands, c'est pousser ce concept à ses limites.
Tout le monde commence petit, même si nous nous appuyons sur un riche héritage ou d'autres associations qui peuvent nous donner un certain poids. Les histoires abondent de personnes ayant de tels avantages qui ont fini par être des non-entités. Ils ont gaspillé toutes les opportunités disponibles sans rien accomplir de significatif. La génération précédente a refusé de transmettre l'éthique du travail acharné qui les a conduits à la grandeur à la génération suivante. Tout ce qu'ils savaient faire, c'était gaspiller des ressources pour lesquelles ils n'avaient pas travaillé.
Chaque arbre est lancé par une graine, quelle que soit l'espèce. Cette graine doit faire face à toute l'opposition du sol et d'autres problèmes environnementaux pour devenir un arbre. Cette graine de grandeur est en chacun de nous et nous devons chacun affronter et vaincre des circonstances opposées afin d'atteindre notre plein potentiel. L'erreur que beaucoup de gens font est de vouloir devenir des chênes à partir de graines d'orange. Cela devient si frustrant qu'ils abandonnent et n'atteignent jamais leur pleine maturité.
Cette graine de grandeur en vous doit être étudiée, comprise et appréciée avant de pouvoir être nourrie et transformée en grandeur. Lorsque nous apprécions la nature de notre graine, il sera plus facile de lui accorder toute l'attention et de passer par tous les inconvénients du travail acharné qu'elle nécessite pour devenir un arbre adulte et fruitier. Il n'y a pas de raccourci vers la grandeur. La route du travail acharné ne peut jamais être contournée par quiconque désire être grand.
