Many a purpose have been truncated because the visionary turned their attention from fulfilling their purpose to commercialising their gift. Purpose is using your gifts and your talents to improve lives and society. Financial gain is an offshoot of pursuing your purpose, it is not the goal. Unfortunately, many today are more focused on what they can give to get money and fame rather than what they can do to make a difference, improve lives and leave a legacy. Personally, I am very concerned about the way most youths are primarily seeking ways to monetize their gifts because this limits their creativity to just what they can do to make money and become famous. For a developing continent like Africa, that is not music to the ears at all. Only selfless pursuit can bring about lasting impact. When you seek to improve the community by doing whatever you focus on with excellence, people will naturally gravitate towards exceptional passion. Fleeting success is based on financial pursuit. Lasting success is based on having the kind of impact that can change the narrative wherever you are and on whomever you come in contact with. Many have left their footprints in the sands of time not because of their wealth but because of their creative, innovation and their inventions. Enjoy your weekend!

La poursuite d'un but c'est l'utilisation de vos dons et vos talents pour améliorer la vie et la société. Le gain financier est une conséquence de la poursuite de votre objectif, ce n'est pas le but. Malheureusement, nombreux sont ceux qui se concentrent aujourd'hui sur ce qu'ils peuvent faire pour obtenir de l'argent et de la célébrité, plutôt que sur ce qu'ils peuvent faire pour améliorer la vie et laisser un héritage. Personnellement, je suis très troublée par la façon dont la plupart des jeunes cherchent avant tout à monétiser leurs dons, car cela limite leur créativité à ce qu'ils peuvent faire pour gagner de l'argent et devenir célèbre. Pour un continent en développement comme l’Afrique, ce n’est pas du tout la bonne musique pour les oreilles. Seule la poursuite désintéressée peut avoir un impact durable. Lorsque vous cherchez à améliorer la communauté en faisant tout ce que vous privilégiez avec excellence, les gens graviteront naturellement vers une passion exceptionnelle. Le succès fugace est basé sur la poursuite financière. Un succès durable est basé sur le type d’impact qui peut changer la narration partout où que vous soyez et sur ceux avec qui vous êtes en contact. Beaucoup ont laissé leurs empreintes dans le temps, non pas à cause de leur richesse, mais à cause de leur créativité, de leur innovation et de leurs inventions. Passe un bon weekend!
