DEAD WOOD - BOIS MORT

"I never thought of it that way" Many times it is difficult for people to admit that there are other perspectives to a situation other than theirs. They would rather stick with their way of approaching a matter rather than make progress. What this means is that they are ready to continue a certain route even when it becomes evident that it is the wrong direction. No one says you should change your destination but there are differents routes to get to any given destination. If you are open to change, it will make your journey less stressful. What you see as dead wood might be a beautiful work art attracting many to an exhibition. Never underestimate another's suggestions as you go along, that "stupid" idea might be just what you need to unlock the next opportunity. It is not always that the advice of an expert is the only progressive idea. Do have a great day!

"Je ne l'ai jamais vu de cette façon" Plusieurs fois, c'est difficile pour les gens d'admettre qu'il existe d'autres perspectives au sujet d'une situation autre que la leur. Ils préfèrent rester avec leur façon d'aborder une question plutôt que de faire du progrès. Ce que cela signifie est qu'ils sont prêts à poursuivre un certain trajet, même quand il devient évident que c'est la mauvaise direction. Personne ne dit que vous devez changer votre destination mais il y a des itinéraires différents pour atteindre toute destination donnée. Si vous êtes ouvert au changement, il va rendre votre voyage moins stressant. Le bois que vous voyez comme mort pourrait être une œuvre d'art qui attire beaucoup à une exposition. Ne jamais sous-estimer des suggestions qu'un autre vous avance, cette idée «stupide» pourrait être exactement ce dont vous avez besoin pour déverrouiller la prochaine opportunité. C'est pas toujours que les conseils d'un expert est la seule idée progressive. Ayez une super journée!

START TO FINISH - COMMENCEZ POUR FINIR

Start to finish...It looks to me that most people who start without finishing either do not have the mind to finish or succumb to obstacles and quit. There are those who start because they do not want to be left out of the rat race or they want to prove a point to people. As is expected, those in this categories will quit in the face of any opposition. However, there is another ugly group who have no intentions whatsoever of finishing...frauds! Abandoned projects litter the landscape of Nigeria courtesy of "contractors" who have not the slightest intentions of finishing their projects. The unfortunate thing is that the next generation is just waiting in the wings to continue in their steps. Hmmmm... Are we just going to sit here, watch and complain? Is it possible to do something about it? Probably. Many do not think anything can be done. Some crazy people still think something can be done... like me. Let us continue the conversation until "some" begin to see that the only way out is a change in how we see life in Nigeria. Impossible? No! Difficult? Very, but we can start now. I do not believe that Nigerians are inherently crooked. Enjoy your day!

Commencez pour finir ... Il me semble que la plupart des gens qui commencent et ne finissent pas  n'ont soit pas l'intention de finir ou ils succombent aux obstacles et ils quittent. Il y a ceux qui commencent parce qu'ils ne veulent pas qu'on les dépasse dans la course au bifteck ou ils veulent prouver un point. Bien entendu, ceux dans cette catégorie  quitteront face à toute opposition. Cependant, il y a un autre groupe vilain qui n'a aucune intention que ce soit de finir ... les fraudes! Les projets abandonnés jonchent le paysage du Nigeria grâce aux «contracteurs» qui n'ont pas la moindre intention d'achever leurs projets. Le malheur est que la prochaine génération est juste en attente dans les ailes pour continuer dans leurs démarches. Hmmmm ... Allons-nous nous asseoir simplement, regarder et nous nous plaindre? Est-il possible de faire quelque chose à ce sujet? Probablement. Beaucoup ne pense pas qu'on peut en faire quelque chose. Certaines personnes folles pensent encore qu'on peut en faire quelque chose... comme moi. Continuons la conversation et nous nous engageons jusqu'à ce que «certains» commencent à voir que le seul moyen d'en sortir est un changement dans la façon dont nous voyons la vie au Nigeria. Impossible? Non! Difficile? Très, mais nous pouvons commencer dès maintenant. Je ne crois pas que les Nigérians sont intrinsèquement corrompus. Bonne journée!

PROFILING - PROFILAGE

"People will call your dog what you call it" - African proverb.

This is a proverb that I find myself using a lot these days, I really do not know why... Profiling is now a big deal these days, we form our opinions even before we meet people. That said, my honest advice is that you always present yourself in a way that makes it difficult for those who are important to you and your vision to stick with whatever profile they have in mind. The lines between uniqueness and profiling have become blurred in this our present dispensation. Do not allow prejudices define who you are; do not try to fit into a profile, always exhibit your uniqueness. A large percentage of traits; race, tribe, religion, profession or whatever they use for profiling may present in a certain way, it does not mean that it all necessarily applies to you. Hidden in the general attributes are features that are unique to you; make them pay. Call yourself  a gift by constantly putting forward what you have that will benefit your generation. Ceci est un proverbe que j'emploie beaucoup ces jours, je ne sais pas vraiment pourquoi ... Le profilage est maintenant un gros problème ces jours-ci, nous formons nos opinions avant même que nous rencontrons des gens. Cela dit, mon conseil honnête est que vous vous présentez toujours d'une manière qui rend difficile pour ceux qui sont importants pour vous et votre vision d'adhérer à tout ce que le profilage représente pour eux. Les lignes entre l'unicité et le profilage sont devenues floues dans notre dispensation actuelle. Ne laissez pas les préjugés définissent qui vous êtes; n'essayez pas de vous intégrer dans un profil, avancez toujours votre unicité. Un grand pourcentage de traits; la race, la tribu, la religion, la profession ou tout ce qu'ils utilisent pour le profilage peut se présenter d'une certaine façon, cela ne signifie pas nécessairement que tout cela vous applique. Caché dans les attributs généraux sont des caractéristiques qui vous sont uniques; faites les compter. Vous appelez-vous un don en mettant constamment en avant ce que vous avez qui profitera à votre génération. Profitez d'une belle semaine!
