I heard someone who had given up on a certain failed business pursuit say "at least, I tried". Many of us start with unclear dreams or we are so passionate about our dreams that we start without any concrete plan to achieve what we set out accomplish. We also have people who have very clear visions and well thought out strategies but who discover that life is not a straight line. Whichever one it is, we all have points in life when we look back and say "at least, I tried", "I wish I tried" or "I glad I tried" Success is a combination of all three, it is only when we quit that we have permanent regrets. No dream, no matter what resources are available at the beginning, is accomplished without periods of discouragement and some regrets. We do not live in a utopia, we live in a real world where we will encounter circumstances beyond our control and there are times that these can completely derail us. The difference between those who succeed and those who do not is the ability to turn these moments into fond memories or use them to build monuments of regret. When we succeed, we always look back at difficult periods with fond memories because they remind us of our ability to fight and overcome. When we fail, our inability to conquer the situation becomes a sore point that makes it difficult for us to continue the pursuit of our dream. Even if broken pieces cannot make beautiful pottery, they can make a beautiful work of art for those who those who decide to pick them up and do something with them. The end product maybe altered but it may come out more beautiful than the original dream you had in mind. Always resolve to turn your downtime into fond memories instead of monuments of regrets. Enjoy a great weekend!
