THE POWER OF THE RIGHT QUESTION - LE POUVOIR D'UNE BONNE QUESTION

This morning as I was walking, I was observing flocks of cattle egrets as they flew around enjoying the dawn of day. I began to think that perhaps the Wright brothers must have thought of what made birds defy gravity in the process of developing an aeroplane. Just my imagination though, but that thought brought me to the point where I began to wonder how far one can go if we could just bring ourselves to ask questions that would enable us stretch our imagination to the limits. Questions that make us look beyond the apparent to the unknown. Questions that help us understand beyond the obvious and allow us change the status quo for the better. Most innovations, if not all, are an answer to the right question. Nothing new can emerge without the search for an answer to the challenge. Inquisitive minds are always researching solutions to problems that others are busy complaining about. They ask questions to help them understand what is going on and how to make things work. They do not ask questions to apportion blame, they want to be a part of the solution to the problem, so their questions are those that enable them find answers. Those who want to make impact are those who are smart enough to ask questions that can lead to solutions. Do have a great day!

Ce matin, alors que je me promenais, j’observais des troupeaux d’aigrettes de bétail alors qu’ils volaient dans les airs, profitant de l’aube. J'ai commencé à penser que les frères Wright avaient peut-être pensé à ce qui faisait que les oiseaux défiaient la gravité lors du développement d'un avion. Juste mon imagination, mais cette pensée m’a amené au point où je commençais à me demander jusqu’à quel point on pouvait aller si on pouvait arriver à poser des questions qui nous permettraient d’étirer notre imagination à la limite. Des questions qui nous font regarder au-delà de ce qui est apparent à l'inconnu. Des questions qui nous aident à comprendre au-delà de l'évidence et nous permettent de changer le statu quo pour le mieux. La plupart des innovations, si pas toutes, sont une réponse à la bonne question. Rien de nouveau ne peut émerger sans la recherche d'une réponse au défi. Les esprits curieux sont toujours à la recherche de solutions à des problèmes dont d’autres se plaignent. Ils posent des questions pour les aider à comprendre ce qui se passe et à faire fonctionner les choses. Ils ne posent pas de questions pour imputer le blâme, ils veulent faire partie de la solution au problème, alors leurs questions sont celles qui leur permettent de trouver des réponses. Ceux qui veulent avoir un impact sont ceux qui sont assez intelligents pour poser des questions qui peuvent mener à des solutions. Passez une bonne journée!
